Everyone has their own preference as far as equipment goes. And a lot of it has to do with local dealer support. I traded a John Deere 4620 with over 14000 hors on it.
nice white we trades ours in butwe still have on we had a fwd 2-134 and we even had a white 8920 combine but it got traded in this year on a challenger combine
@Farmerknowsbest Very true....My dad bought a 160 series 3 FWA brand new. He was deciding between it and a john deere of the same size. They dealers brought them out to the farm to have "test" run on a 5 shank ripper. Basically, the White could of pulled the a** end out of the john deere, and its still workin today.
@Farmerknowsbest wow, well i guess in canada you have a lot more ground than people in the united states. Here we consider 8000 hours worn out lol :) Don't matter though, as long as you maintain them they will last forever.
@freddythestandard Not really, each tractor put on about 400 hours per year from 1978 and 1980 on. It adds up. Whites aren't Deere's, they don't fall apart at the 10000 hour mark.
@Farmerknowsbest thats a no shitter, my mf 1100 is a 1965 and has around 3500 hours on it and my grandpa bought a brand new jd 5525 and we've already had more problems with this one than the ole 1100
30 years ago White was the only company to offered a front wheel drive option at 135,155 and 180hp.There were 5 companies making 180hp or larger row crop tractors in 1979 and White was the only one offer this option on their 2-180.The same could not be said for the 4840,7080,2590 and the 2805.
Have a question, is it possible to do silage with soy beans to feed cattle? I am from Mexico, and want to try some soybeans next year but there are no combines around here, so I want to make sure I can do silage with them soybeans,
@Jinete28 you could maybe make bales out of the soy beans but thats about it when you harvest them they are much to dry for silage and they arent very big either
yeah you guys must of been going to Reis in winchester becuase my brother works there and he . says that he was working on your combine the one day. how many acres you guys fram.?.
Peter . i think hes in one of your pic on your wed sit when you are looking at a new case in the shop. he said that he and alex were working on one of your tractor i think i was the 9250.
We always had problems with the backend walking around with singles. Like when you turn the grain cart would push you around. We have a Kinze 875 and J&M 975 grain cart and a John Deere 4955 and 4960 tractors we pull em.
Oh my look at those old Whites! I'll bet you like the new ones much better. I've driven Whites before, not the most pleasurable experience but still not too bad of a tractor.
i love international just not there combines

This corn looks small. Is it GMO or special small corn? Here in Europa is every one taller than yours.

what kind of tractor is that gray one, i live in the USA all i use is caseih and john deere
SuperRam3500 1 year ago
@SuperRam3500 It is a White 2-155. In its day it was vastly superior to both JD and Caseih!
Farmerknowsbest 1 year ago
@Farmerknowsbest why is there a 2-155 hood on the 4-155?
indy498 1 year ago
@indy498
It isn't a 4-155. It is a 2-155, so the decal is correct.
Farmerknowsbest 1 year ago
@Farmerknowsbest i always thought the 2- or the 4- stood for the driven wheels
indy498 1 year ago
@indy498 The only White's with a 4 were articulated four wheel drive. All straight tractors MFWD or not were designated with a 2-xxx
zkeele 1 year ago
@zkeele thts true, we run 3 articulated white and have 1 2-150. Best damn tractors a person could buy.
firebrother09 1 year ago
@firebrother09 We have a 4-150, 2-105, 170 Workhorse, and a 1950-T Oliver. I would rather drive that 170 than anything, new or old.
zkeele 1 year ago
@indy498 only the articulated white have 4 then the number
Fffffft65 1 year ago
@Farmerknowsbest I agree 100%. I would still choose a 100 series White with the cummins (140, 160, 185) over a 7000 series Deere.

@SuperRam3500 Well Im in Good ole Indiana and seen several Whites just here not including several other states, JD and Case are just more popular

@Farmerknowsbest i love the white tractor, how many hours you got on it?
freddythestandard 1 year ago
@freddythestandard There was about 23000 hours on it when we traded it in 2008
Farmerknowsbest 1 year ago
@Farmerknowsbest 23000 or 2300? I've never heard of a tractor with 23000 hours lol :P
freddythestandard 1 year ago
@freddythestandard No 23000 was correct. The 2wd 2-155 we also had was over 19000 hours on it when it was traded in 2008 as well.

Lovin that 2-155!!!!! What model was that Ford? TW15?
ACFarmer89 2 years ago
TW-10. Has since been traded for a TS130A. Both the 2-155's were traded on T7060's.
Farmerknowsbest 2 years ago
Do you like them New Hollands better?
ACFarmer89 2 years ago
As far as operator comfort and serviceability go absolutely. Though I do miss the 2wd 2-155. It is my favorite tractor of all time.
New ones are MUCH better on fuel too. Go faster, shift easier, more hp, more hydraulics. A lot of pros.
