@jordanx23xlee It was originally written for a duo called Ronald and Ruby sometime in the late 50's but the chordettes and gary miller both did cover versions of it. Julius Dixon was the guy that wrote it i think. Wikipedia might have more info.

@TheHappyPeter - yes my father co-wrote the song with Beverly Ross. Actually the Ronald and Ruby version was a demo sung by Ronald Gumps and Beverly Ross aka Ruby for the time being. Arnie Shaw took the demo to RCA and when they expressed an interest in releasing such demo he illegally signed a deal with them and had to somehow get my father to sign off after the fact. not enuf room to right the book. : ) - Julius, Jr.
