  • damn you kojima no zoe 3

  • zoe epic game...song makes me cry for zoe 3...jehuty!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol......metal gear solid 4 brought me here...

  • Listening to this song always makes sneaking through a ship fortress more peaceful <3

  • This song is so.......beautiful ^_^

  • Beautiful

  • Try to hear this song backwards!

  • @buduru96 And it becomes The Origin

  • @JackTR21 hehehe

  • That happened to me the same thing, listen on mgs4 and it's beautiful...

  • I love how I discovered this song on the iPod on mgs4 LOL

  • I miss the Golden Era of the PS1-PS2... Shit was actually GOOD back then. Good not like "HOLY SHIT LET'S SELL 10 MILLION COPIES OF CoD EVERY YEAR!!!" forced regurgitated bullshit good, but good like you remember the game for the rest of your life, and you even cry through some of the scenes good.

  • @JapanForSale Dude Your fucking telling me, I cant stand the BS they put out nowadays... They just go where the money is. Even "Enix" was awasome before the merge.. I just dont see any heart put into games anymore, touching your soul.

  • @chirijariden I take some of that back. Just finished Halo: Reach. Was well done, but on the other hand, who would have expected any less from Bungie, right? Glad we still have some people who know WTF they're doing in the industry in the West.

  • @chirijariden You have your own opinions so be nice or don't say any thing jerk

  • @JapanForSale Sorry for replying for a 3 months* old comment, but I disagree. I just played the game, and I punched myself over every single cut-scene, the script pictured Leo as such a fucking idealist retard with naiveness that goes beyond human capabilities. The final battle with Violet for an instance, he actually wails over her death. "Violet! Violet! You tried to kill me three times, killed my friends and wounded another! Don't die!"

There is a limit to how much cliche' one can take.

  • @TrojenMonkey

I honestly just found Leo to be obnoxious because he whined even when he gained power of a giant freaking robot.

Me? I'd be having fun blowing shit up ;P

But in all seriousness, the real problem was just that he and Viola had such little interaction that her ultimate fate makes it seem out of place. It'd be like if that kid from the one Gundam mini-series never befriended the dude that gets skewered near the end.

  • @Darkman9000 Not to talk about his humanitarian premise, he hammered his ill and naive ideals to a point I had to think that the writers were thinking "We're going to change a generation with these words of peace! ... In a play-to-kill video game...With giant robots...Yeah, people will totally pay attention to us now.".

And regarding Viola in the game: Indeed, Viola had so little to do with the game, almost as if the writers just wanted an antagonist and shrug off the game with disdain.

  • @TrojenMonkey

At least she got some enrichment in the prequel OVA, shame they couldn't have rereleased the first game to reflect her deeper character (though maybe they'll fix the dub in the HD collection).

As for Leo, it's hard to say if they were trying to go for a Shinji or an Amuro.

  • @Darkman9000 Oh, you just can't forget the obvious plot device "You're the one".

Ah somewhat teenager, is appearntly genetically accomidated to pilot a Jehuti against veteran, experienced, pilots; and win.

When Viola said : "This isn't just the bot, the kid is amazing by himself."

I could really feel the writers spitting on me, with their half-assed writing abilities; saliva was caressing my body an and aura of laothe was basking my flesh.

And all I wanted, was some nostalgia.

  • @TrojenMonkey

I'm curious if that was from the original Japanese or possibly some nonsense the translators came up with (wouldn't be the first time such a weird change is made in a port). Hopefully if they do redub the game, they'll redo the script to fix these oddities.

  • @Darkman9000

In this game, it's not a matter of phrasing; the perspective should be the same on both languages. (I.E: "The one" nonesense, a teenager is the only one who can pilot this thing? ..Really?)

We shouldn't discuss it too much, sure it's annoying and disrespectful to ... Older players, but the game has little point story-wise to begin with, gotta love those damn writers...

  • @TrojenMonkey

Doesn't mean some stuff couldn't have been altered. I recall reading that in the original Japanese dub of 2nd Runner, Nohman pretty much says he loves Dingo. Granted, it is of little consequence.

  • @Darkman9000

Hm...Now that you mention it, dubbing calamity was also reported on serveral anime shows..

I'm sure none of us has the nerves to go find a forum of the game just to find a thread of this subject to requisite an answer.

I'll let this enigma survive for a while. ;)

  • @TrojenMonkey

It's certainly possible. Especially if you consider the fact that nothing about "biometrics" or "genes" play a part in Dingo perfectly controlling Jehuty (if not better than that tool Leo). Odds are, it might have been tossed in just for the fun of it all.

  • @TrojenMonkey It's "Viola" to begin with. And, well, it shows that he might be a naive kid, but he has a heart, she has done wrong things, but she also was cut apart severely during her life, and was at peace then.

  • @youtubamigo

If you can sympethise with the script I really feel bad for you, the characters are polarized emphesis of what they are supposed to represent and no character development or depth was shown in any of them. Given the thought of doubt anyone really expected anything but cheesy script from a game about giant battle-bots, the characters are still ; really, really bad.

  • @TrojenMonkey I don't know about any technical shit, to me it's much simplier than that. If I enjoy something, I do, if I don't enjoy something, I don't, I just liked the game, and therefore I don't see any reason to rant about it.

  • @youtubamigo Oh, no. I enjoyed the game aswell. Just not the cutscenes...Or the verbal interaction..

    ...

Anything which consisted on any character speaking was painful. The gameplay itself was casual entretainment.

I started to 'rant' about the subject because Darkman9000 seemed to think otherwise, and thus the wall of text began.

  • @TrojenMonkey Eeyup

  • @JapanForSale ya thats true MGS1 the best for PS1 and for PS2 MGS 2 &3 god i miss them

  • I have all of those.

  • @filipeflower lucky i have MGS4 and rising

  • I also have Metal Gear Solid 4, but I didn't know you had 'Metal Gear Solid: Rising', because I thought that game hasn't been relased yet.

  • @filipeflower its ok man anyways i got the MGS2,3, and peacewalker special edition for ps3 but i have played MGS1

  • @JapanForSale there are still god games, metal gear is a good example, even trough the pass of the quality of the games keeps getting better

  • who luved this song from mgs4 thumbs up

  • @xXLemontartXx Who Loved This Song "ON" MGS4... not "FROM".

  • @hitmanwolf Jizzz dnt make a big deal of it .

  • J'ai seulement joué au deuxième opus de cette série mais j'adore écouter les B.O de ces 2 jeux.

  • J'ai joué au 2èmeopus de cette série.

  • This is what it says on wikipedia about Z.O.E

Hideo Kojima has promised that he would produce the next game in the series, Zone of the Enders 3, at an unspecified point in the future. At E3 2011, Konami announced the 'Zone of the Enders HD Collection', a re-release of the two main Zone of the Enders games on the PS3 and Xbox 360 due out in 2012. It includes updated interfaces for the HD resolutions, redrawn art, Trophy/Achievement support, improved audio and rumble support. I AM NOT LYING!!!!

  • @PandaBear642 you only just found out? ^^ theres also a silent hill collection set for release a month earlier/later than Z.O.E collection :3

  • @NinjaRyu666 I've known this for months. I just decided to post this now.

  • Zone Of The Enders HD collection coming soon!! :D It's not ZOE 3 but still.....YAYZ!!!

  • If it was just the MGS 2 demo that made Z.O.E. rated M, why didn't the ESRB rating say so? For example, with The Sly Collection for PS3; 2 of the games on the disk are rated E, the third is rated E10+. ESRB actually points this out with: Games included rated E-E10+ by the ESRB. Plus, the disk to Z.O.E. clearly has the M symbol on it, signifying the game's rating of M for Mature.

  • Is there ANY way to make an english version of this?? I know this is japanesse and all but I would like to hear and english version if there's any way to make one

  • listen this while sleeping.

  • Hurry Kojima!!!!!!!!You have many dying fans out there waiting for Z.O.E 3.

  • Found out about this song while I was playing through MGS4. Whenever I was on Shadow Moses, I always played this music when I was out in the snow, particularly after I beat Crying Wolf.

The moment felt so... surreal. Beautiful song.

  • i fuck sensually with this song playing

  • this song has this late 80s vibe to it.

  • @ruizj2006 lols thats because its good

  • Bow down to Z.O.E and Hideo Kojima!. this song is an unforgettable song. such great memories.

  • Soft, soulful jazz is what comes to mind every time I pilot my Orbital Frame.

  • man!!! this song reminds me of 2k1, i remember this when i first got my ps2 this was my first game and mgs2 was my second. aaaaw very good ole times :(.... LOL

  • anyone want to join me in reporting 4 people ?

  • i hope Z.O.E 3does come out for xbox and ps3 because its just such a great game it should be available to everyone. I hate exclusives because whats the fun in that?

  • This is so awesome, I had a dream just about last night before this post about a new game created by Hideo Kojima of a Red Orbital Frame, it was wearing a cloak and had a large body build. I know it's just a dream but I just remember it when I came to listen to these music. I'm trying my best to remember the name of that Frame, it start with Ro and ended in gun. :P but it's just a dream! Maybe its a foresight of Z.O.E 3.

  • @Dtt4 Rorengun was the first word to come to my mind... sound close?

  • @solar464 Honestly I can't remember. But it was super legitimate.

  • I love how this soothing, poetic music is a beautiful centerpiece to the series, but is also creepy as all hell when reversed and transformed into The Origin. You know they had to be proud of that moment of Night/Day difference being used as the start and end to the game.

  • i done heard this song in 2 games already zoe1 (obviously) and mgs4 (in the ipod) even though i didn't like zoe1 but im not gonna lie the music was good especially this song (best song in the game actually) now i love zoe2 that one was great and im hoping kojima makes the third one alreay cus it's gonna kick ass i would actually prefer a zoe3 before mgs5 cus i've been craving some zoe (and no 360 fanboys mgs rising is a spin off it's not mgs5 when mgs5 comes out it'll be a ps3 or ps4 exclusive)

  • This song touches my heart when I ever hear it, as it reminds me of when Kojima is gonna bloody make ZOE 3. Either way, Zone Of The Enders shoud be the first game to be put in an official Gaming Hall Of Fame, it deserves every right to be remembered as one of the many Cult classic games of our generation. And this song says everthing that Zone Of The Enders is and always will be, Kojima's best game.

  • I think I'mma cry.

  • Very Touching song this is

  • @krispydude12 I didn't know yoda liked Z.O.E.

  • Z.O.E 4ever

  • This gave me memories long time ago when i beat ZOE

  • some of mysteryfoodx's translated lyrics r a little off. It's a matter of opinion, though.

  • this song always gives me goosebump

  • damn I love this song I used to get through whole game just to listen to this :D

  • As Vash12349 would say 'Hit Them Notes!!!" lol.

  • taked me back to the extremely long cutscenes and the annoying Gecko, still a great game. Can't wait for a school break ;(

  • 5 gold stars to this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song really relaxes me a lot. It's good to listen to when your angry and why not have a cup of tea while your at it. x3

  • So sad it stings the throat D:

  • fucking god awesome music

  • this song almost reminds me of my dead father god rests his soul he died in a car accident before the war on iraq and flee to syria

  • does maiko horisawa sing this?

  • This song is the only thing I listen to on the MGS4 iPod?

  • my fav ps2 game ;3

also one of the only games that made me cry!

awesome game, awesome music but the game was

    WAY TO SHORT!!

    i wish it was longer

  • The funny thing is, I only bought this game because it came with the mgs 2 demo. Turned out to be one of my favorite games, with the second one being even better.

  • I love playing this song on MGS4, good thing Snake carries an Ipod to hear music while in combat. :P

  • I love this song on my PS2.

  • this brings back my childhood memory's

  • Damn...I love this song. I gotta admit that I cried a little bit, when I saw the ending and heard this music. Just epic.

  • cool

  • This is quite beautiful. I had forgotten all about the ending theme.

  • I'm happy that Kojima confirmed that a Zone Of The Enders 3 WILL be made no matter how long it takes.

I love the Z.O.E. series. I got both games, the Idaho movie and alll of the Zone Of The Enders Dolores I dvds. I remember all the epic Mech battles I had in the games. (my favorite weapon was Zero Shift.)

  • this song to me i so relaxing

  • j ais rarement vus une histoire aussi captivante

  • @MysteryFoodX

your name reminds me of a ration from the metal gear series

  • @MrMizanMiah

Haha. The ration is really mysterious food!

Who makes what for whom? I've loved MGS series for so long.

But I still don't know the truth. :D

  • @MysteryFoodX

well if we like konami we will not stop loving the Metal Gear series

  • Ah flowing * A flowing destiny*

    Ah destiny

Ah wake up * It wakes me up to find *

    Ah I start walking alone

with courage to get over a farewell

  • @MysteryFoodX no offense really but some of your translated lyrics are a little off. It's a matter of though i concede.

  • @MysteryFoodX dude some of ur translations r a little off. It's a bit of a matter of opinion in a way though i concede

  • @sonofdarth No it's not opinion they are off.

  • @Eyakunai Yeah, I know but I hate flame wars. A Japanese friend of mine and myself spent a long time translating this. A few of the expressions are fairly unique to Japanese thinking and require some skill to translate. Also, I thought I noticed that the posted lyrics tend to organize the Japanese into a more grammatically correct English - not the author's intention, IMO! The words need to hang like haiku, and they are almost as beautiful to read on a page as they are to listen to. IMO!!! IMO!

  • @Eyakunai If I can dig our translation out of my room I will post it. All opinions welcome!

  • @sonofdarth Don't comment three times saying someone's translations are off and then back off. Have confidence in yourself and stick to your opinions

  • @thenewplayer Listen pal, the comment you're referring to got posted more than once because I was inexperienced at posting on Youtube - it was an accident! Secondly, I have all the confidence that I need, but thanks for your concern. In case you're somehow really not trying to be a jerk, I must say that I thought my opinion was clear, but it is still only an opinion. I worked hard with a Japanese friend of mine to translate it. I honestly think that my translation is better. Happy now?

  • @sonofdarth I apologize if my comment came off as trying to be an ass; that really wasn't my intention. I thought you posted 3 times because you sincerely believed that his translations were a little off, however you said "I concede" which, to me, means that you're backing off. You later said that that the reason you conceded was because you hate flame wars but proceeded to explain anyways what was wrong with the translation anyways, despite previously "conceding." It's full of contradictions

  • @sonofdarth You just said so yourself, that you believe that your translation is better. Even if it's a matter of opinion, you can have a constructive argument without having it devolve into a flame war. I'm really not trying to mock your experience on this matter either; you seriously seem to know your stuff

  • @thenewplayer Hey Fellah, I happen to KNOW for a fact that SonofDarth is a Master Authority on these matters. Without trying to be hostile, I must say that what you said publicly in this forum was not just mean and disrespectful, it was also HIGHLY uneducated. Also, by myself, it was VERY unappreciated. In the future, you might want to reconsider and rethink your public postings before doing so. Ya KINDA made yourself look like a slime, and left the door open for others to point it out too.

  • @impulsivej1 Please try to keep comments bias-free. Your comment is dripping with obvious worship for sonofdarth. Also I never mocked sonofdarth's experience or knowledge on this matter. His reply to Eyakunai showed knowledge that not any average translator has.

  • @thenewplayer Well, thank you for showing maturity. I just felt like I was being called out. If I seemed a little diffident before, it's because sometimes on the Internet people like to talk trash, and since I know how strongly I can feel about things, I work to temper my ( written ) opinions-particularly in a situation where there can be more than one opinion, i.e. difficult translations. Fans of this stuff are passionate, and I'm no exception. Perhaps I was too nice. MY TRANSLATION IS BETTER!!

  • @thenewplayer Also, impulsivej1 is my girl, and yes, she worships me. We should all be so lucky! Still, I apologize on her behalf. I'm going to give her a good spanking later. ; P

  • @thenewplayer Also, I would just like to say that this is one of the FINEST cultures on the face of the planet, and to truly understand it's sense of propriety is a beautiful skill. I respect your interest in it, but honing the skill is SO important. Please consider this as well before posting again. Enjoy yourself here.

  • You gave me memories

In the corner of my heart

I hold on it for eternity

    so time is passing by

    But you gave me strength

never give up and never lost

    I feel your kindness

    and warming heart so deeply

  • Ah shining * your shining eyes in pleasure *

    Ah eyes

Ah talking * the treasure on my mind *

    Ah words

    I go beyond the darkness

    with these words again

  • Ah flowing * A flowing destiny*

    Ah destiny

Ah wake up (It wakes me up to find)

    Ah I start walking alone

with courage to get over a farewell

    * I never lose your memories *

  • Haha. I was watching my friend play MGS4 and when I saw him pick this up I instantly got excited....and then a part of me wanted to choke my friend when he asked what ZOE was......(It was one of my first PS2 games and this theme is one of my favorite VG themes of all time)

  • Would anyone tell me that Hideo Kojima is famous in America?

I'm living in Japan. so I don't know about that.

  • Famous in terms of what?

He isn't a household name if that's what you mean but everyone in the video game business has heard of him.. he gave us MGS afterall.

  • Thanks you for your reply.

My question is "Is he famous in the video game business?"

I was able to understand it. Thanks so much.

  • Only for true MGS Fans and Zone of Ender fans, ppl waiting on ZOE 3 :DDD

I know him, not personally, but I'd know him if he were walking down the street or something.

  • Thanks for the add comments!

I've been waiting for a new ZOE for ages.

    Kojima-san, Please ZOE3. I can't wait anymore!

...sorry. ZOE3 in HD would be so great!

  • People know him in the UK too! He's the greatest games developer EVER!!

  • Yeah, I think so too.

  • He's well known in the video game Industry and other industries as well.

KNown as one of the Video game genius.

He's also very popular in Europe.

    Father of MGS, Snatcher etc.

He was once on the main page of forbes magazine if I remember and was voted on the top 5 of the most popular VG creators few years ago.

  • Thanks TEEDA.

He's well known a lot of gamers in Japan.

And he was selected one of ten "Who's next?" of Newsweek in 2001.

But my friends don't know his name.

    ...It's a little sad.

  • @MysteryFoodX

Hi do you think you could translate the lyrics of the song I think its soo beautiful and am really curious about whats it about. ;P

  • Comment removed

  • i really want a copy of both Z.O.E games...but you cant find them anywhere...beyond the bounds and flowing destiny are awesome i wish there were more Z.O.E songs for the Ipod in MGS4...

  • Is it just me or is this song also featured in MGS4 as a hidden iPod song? I'm pretty sure I have it...

  • Yeah you can also find Beyond the bounds on the 2nd floor of the tank hangar if you go back after otacon opens the door in the missile storage area(just before the crying wolf boss fight).

  • I was listening to this song while fighting Crying Wolf

  • I used to beat the end of ZOE just so I could listen to this song during the credits. Simply Beautiful.

  • heard this song on mgs4 and love it now so much! :D

    5*

  • really! I haven't played MGS4 yet, is it during the game or during a credit sequence?

  • I don't think it's during the credits, but you can listen to it during the game on Snake's iPod

    GRANDE HIDEO KOJIMA¡¡¡¡

  • I've been looking for this song for so long. Didn't even realise it was in MGS4. I loved it when I heard it in the credits for ZOE1

  • LMAO I never recognized this track before I heard it in Metal Gear Solid 4! Of course it was from ZOE! I have heard it everywhere! And while listening to it in MGS4 I was like:

"...What the hell? This is familiar to me..." I checked the title and youtubed it and TADAH! Now I remember! XD

  • Wow. I didn't know this was from Z.O.E. I should look into this game.

  • Yes you should.

  • zone of the enders is THE most under appreciate game ever in my opinion. ther're a little rare nowadays, but worth a hunt. truely epic tittles!

  • hell yeah, whenever i read that Hideo Kojima is planning on a 3rd game, i look forward to it, it's a bit of a shame in a way that every1 pesters (as i call it) him to make more MGS games and nothing but really, don't get me wrong i LOVE MGS and i look forward to Rising also, but this series is awesome aswell

  • thats the big debate. Should Hideo Kojima be given a break from Metal Gear? It goes without saying that most of us love Metal Gear to death, but some want something new, which is the group I find myself being a part of.

Personally, with Peace Walker being on PSP (which I do not own) and no Rising information, I'm looking for ZOE 3!

And again, it's not that I'm anything less than obsessed with Metal Gear, but it is time for something new!

  • i agree 1000% in some way i think it's kinda cool that we don't have much info on Rising yet, makes it more of a surprise when we play it, also i think some people out there should give Raiden a chance, i noticed 95% of MGS "fans" love Snake out of all of them, he is cool yes, but i think Raiden Rules, also what do you think would be the plot for ZOE 3? lol hang on, Hideo Kojima should announce it at E3, so he could do a joke on the trailer "Z. O .E3" lol

  • With Rising, it's not that I do not care for it. Infact I am looking very foward to it, it's just that it was announced at E3 and that was about half a year (maybe more) and we know nothing about it. For ZOE 3, I'm not really sure because I never played the second game, but I plan on getting it soon (come on family, surprise me on Christmas)!

  • lol i hope you get it, it is fantastic and more Challenging, much better then the 1st i'd say

  • hideo kojima is planning to do a 3rd one but h wants MONEY

  • well i don't see why he would NEED more money then he already has, i mean his games are incredibly successful, even Stan Lee congratulated Mr Kojima for his anniversary of MGS and i bet you would have to be VERY rich or seriously popular to get Stan Lee's attention. plus you would need lots of money to make a game plus everything within (motion actors, voice actors, music, programming, etc) and Mr Kojima has made quite a lot of games.

  • Me too I don t get it, but hemade a huge poll in his blog to know who would buy ZOE3 and he said he would make zeo3 only if he's sure he will earn enough MONEY so you see he wants money

  • Maybe because (as i said before) every1 cares about MGS and not about Z.O.E anymore, maybe he want's to see if people are going to be interested in it instead of having him make a whole game that no 1 will look at. It's a shame im not rich or anything otherwise I'd help him make the game myself.

  • anyway he will make it cuz his poll was a success, but the statement about zoe being ignored is false zoe2 has sold tons of copies but not on its launch it got popular like a year after its released(kinda strange the game is fantastic took a year to some poeple to notice it? O_o) Well zoe won't be out before 2012 at least so we have time

  • yep, at least at the end of the day, WE GET A NEW Z.O.E :D but i bet it mite take longer to make it due to developing Peace Walker and Rising...not to mention this Z.O.E is going to be set on a console (or maybe he will go Multiplatform with this too) that is HD Capable (all the awesomeness of Z.O.E in HD *¬*) still looking forward to it :)

  • I don't know how well it sold. But companies only make money from new copies. And right now, america is really harsh on japanese games and there's sort of a zeitgeist that they aren't making as good games. This despite plenty of titles to say otherwise. It really is a harsh environment though.

  • Making games is a business. He needs to make a profit. He doesn't necessarily WANT money. But he NEEDS money to make it and to justify making it.

Or do you expect ZOE3 to just be free? Because that's what your comments indicate.

When you make games of course you need to earn money cuz you have a life, but that's not the only reason. To make a good game money MUSTN'T take a huge place in your head, basically hideo is saying I won't do shit or put my name there if I'm not sure I can throw millions in my room later(that's why he made a poll).Since when do you make games ONLY when you're sure you will be rich after that? I would feel more secure if he wasn't a part of the project

  • you're being silly. Kojima isn't some rich man that fianances his own games. He works for someone. Both ZOE games didn't sell that well, especially the first one. And he still made a sequel. If he spends millions on a game that does bad, it'll weaken his position to make games period. He also has pressure from the company to be successful, and they've given him responsibilities. He's not just a game creator, he also supervises another team.

  • zeo3...?

  • Zone of the enders. it's best to look them up then listen to someone else describing them.

  • what is the ost called when jehuty fights viola for the first time? and during the last part?

  • I love playing this song on the Metal Gear solid 4 IPOD on chapter 3 when you have to follow that guy.

  • I have ZOE it was really good and i liked it. But it just seemed so short.

  • It didn't seem short. It was short. Sinfully short...
