i sucked my own dick when i was about 15. my back,i think, has suffered ever since, though that may be attributable to odd sleeping positions. suck it!!!
Why does Newman keep repeating that Blair would have been hung at Nürnberg? The people who were hung at Nürnberg were all found guilty of "crimes against humanity". The people who were only found guilty of "waging an aggressive war" or "war crimes" were not executed. Cases in point: Rudolf Hess was sentenced to life imprisonment, Karl Dönitz got 10 years.
I believe that he's following Chomsky on this - he famously said, and I paraphrase, that had the Nuremburg principles been applied to post-war US presidents, all would be executed, as those tried at Nuremburg were charged with waging an aggressive war.
Chomsky is wrong as well then. No one was executed for waging an aggressive war. They were executed for crimes against humanity, which admittedly is a very ambiguous charge.
I knew the charge wasn't genocide, which has more clarity than "crimes against humanity". I believe that a case could easily be made by the ICC for Blair's participation in the inhumane treatment of civilians in relation to collusion in extraordinary rendition, for example. But a death penalty wouldn't result from a guilty verdict, of course.
I think you can get caught in semantics but whatever name you want to slap on it it's war for profit and resources. 9 times out of 10 thats what it always is. The Nazis at least fought for an ideology and were straight up about it. Warped as it may have been it was straight up.
Those at Nürnberg were charged on 4 accounts, and very few of them were found guilty of all four.
1. Participation in a common plan or conspiracy for the accomplishment of a crime against peace 2. Planning, initiating and waging wars of aggression and other crimes against peace 3. War crimes 4. Crimes against humanity
One of them was found guilty of only crimes against humanity, and still sentenced to death. Crimes against humanity encompasses quite a lot, mind.
Not all people who commit murder are hung either. Waging an aggressive war was one of the charges for which men were executed at Nuremberg. Not all who were found guilty were hung, neither were all the men convicted of crimes against humanity. However they were TRIED for the crime of waging an aggressive war.
blair would never have been hung. he might have been hanged though. (sorry, couldn't resist)
