Hi does anyone have any advice, Ive tried this style but my hair resists the pins!!

Ive tried using loads and I dunno why but my hair seems to fight againts them :P

How do I get the pins to stay in place is there a direction that works best?

@Anneca when you put the pins in your hair, securely place them in an X and if your hair is really think and you need extra hold place one more pin straight through the middle of the X where the two bobby pins meet.

I did my natural twist out similar to that. But I pinned up one side and the back around to my nape on the other side. I got a lot of good compliments! People said I had a funky, sexy swoop thing going on! Best thing though, it was all me, no chemicals.
