  • I look at Tabernacle of Prayer and I say my lord, I never realized how many Sopranoes and Altos and Tenors/baritone/bass that they had. Can you give

me a number of sopranoes altos and tenors if you can. This church is amazing.

I live in VA and was a member in the early 80's, but when I do get a chance to go

to Jamaica, Queens I will be make a Friday or Sunday Service. I could imagine that the Annoiting is still there.. God Bless Tabernacel of Prayer and may the Holy Spirit protect everyone.

  • is ithis church still on jamaica ave

  • is this church or organization still around

  • @mwigfall

Yes, It is called Tabernacle of Prayer, (718) 523-1912

  • I Love it, and im only 16

  • She betta be directing too.. LOL!

  • Praise The Lord Everyone,

I just wanted to set the record straight,

    Somebody has untrue information about

    Apostle johnnie washington

somebody is puting on the net apostle johnnie washington church is C.O.G.I.C.

Apostle johnnie washington church is not in the c.o.g.i.c. whoever you are thats puting out this kinda info be truthful

    God Bless

  • If Brother Washington preached at COGIC convocations they would "throw him out of the church" just like the religious world tried to cast Jesus off a cliff. Luke 4:29

  • Well you said if apostle johnnie washington was at a cogic they would throw him out of the church, And they would, But there are still some other (TRUE HOLINESS) organizations (THAT STILL CRY HOLY) that would love to have pastor washington preach at their church, god bless you bro.

  • You are so right. COGIC was not ready for Apostle Washington!!!!

  • I disagree. The Old COGIC was on it for the most part. Now this modern day group hmm. You still find some holy churches here and there and some holy ones in the other churches.

  • I understand what you are saying because a couple of months ago I turn on one of Brother Washington's videos for an old COGIC pastor to review and he received the message with wide open arms. Thank you for the correction. My point was the modern day COGIC would reject him as a legalist.

  • thanks for saying that people like S.E. Mitchell and J.O. Patterson were straight holiness after they died the COGIC began to compromise i'm not cogic but i was dissapointed to see how they have changed

  • @1916598 He probably had friends who were ministers and overseers in COGIC, I don't see what's so scandalous about that.

  • Im bout 2 litterally shout....i've never heard a choir sing the verses...this reminds me of my family baptist church.........

  • Beautiful! I remember the radio broadcast on Sunday mornings. What a blessing!

  • I greatly enjoyed this video. I would just like to know what the lyrics are to the second verse of this song sung by the crusade choir?

  • Lyrics to Second Verse:

    I was alone and idle

    I was a sinner too.

I heard a voice from heaven

Saying there is work to do.

    I took my Master's hand

    I joined the Christian band;

I'm on the battlefield for my Lord.

  • As I have again googled my late pastor's name and view the tapings of these great services, I am overwhelmed with humility that God allowed me to be Pastor Washington's last drummer. To see all of this on today's technology is amazing but more than that to think, I had an opportunity to get saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost and to play drums under this great man of God, Apostle Johnnie Washington. Humbly submitted, associate Elder Mark J. Weaver, Upper Room COGIC, Raleigh, NC

  • what year is this???

  • 80's

  • Lyrics: I am on the battlefield for my Lord. I'm on the battlefield for my Lord, and I promised Him that I would serve Him 'til I die; I'm on the battlefield for my Lord. I was alone and idle I was a sinner too. I heard a voice from heaven Saying there is work to do. I took my Master's hand I joined the Christian band; I'm on the battlefield for my Lord.
