Brrr...it does look cold. Looks like frost on the roof of the Visitor's Center. It has been near-record cold here in the Pacific NW of USA. Nights down to 24 F, highs of 33, lol.

Why won't that new pond fill? You said, "It just keeps draining?"

IT wont fillo up because the gravel base is not water tight, it allows water to pass through and disappear

Hey, Phil - thanks for that info.

Have you heard of any plans in the works to correct that?

They may try to use the clay from the digouts or may get a lining to put in it. Its a larger pond though, will be good to see what they have planned. At the moment, they are concentrating on getting Diddington ready for take over in the next year or so.

Oh bless one has found a small island all for its self. We have had lots of rain but the sun has been bright which makes for light in our near winter season.
