I'm not familiar with Rogers in Canada. My particular phone is the Hong Kong version. It uses sim cards the same as in the UK and some other countries.

The best thing to do is ask the seller or shopkeeper any questions you may have about the phone as they may be more able to help you.

When someone calls you the phone will display the callers number on both the outside and inside of the phone.

You can answer the phone just by flipping it open or by pressing the green coloured phone icon button.

Judging by comments here, only a small number of people have experienced sound problems.

Please stay away from the LG ice cream phone, I got it in pink, super excited about its cuteness.... but it just died on me after 7 months!!!! :((

The best thing I can suggest you do is that you ask the seller questions before you buy it to make sure that it will work. Also, check with your mobile network operator that it'll work with your network, as I would hate for you to get it only to discover that it doesn't work.

Usually, I can't say this for everywhere in world, but most times when you buy a mobile phone it'll be locked to a particular network eg T-mobile, etc. Means you can only use T-mobile sim cards for example. Unlocking is where you can use any sim card with the phone.

(I've just discovered some networks don't use sim cards! I thought everywhere does! lol)

When someone calls your phone, it won't show the name of the contact. But, it will show the contact's number instead.

Or you can just have it display a ringing phone icon when your phone rings.

Calling is OK although sometimes people on the other end of the phone say it is quiet.

Texting is OK too. Just make sure you empty the inbox often as it won't let you send texts if the inbox is full & it won't tell you it's full either! lol

Oh I forgot to mention the KF350's camera and MP3 player! Doh!

It has a 3mega pixel camera. Very easy to use. The pictures are good. You must keep in mind it is not a professional photo camera.

It can also record video at 15 frames per second.

The MP3 player I love! It is nice and easy to use. The sound quality is amazing! :)

The only gripe I have is that it uses LG standard connector port and not a 3.5mm port. So don't expect to be able to use your own earphones.

The LG KF350 Ice Cream phone should work with any GSM sim card, as this phone is a GSM phone and not 3G or CDMA etc.

There's not much difference between the Lollipop and Ice Cream. The only difference perhaps is the colours and graphics are slightly different.

The Korean SV800, LH8000, and KH8000 are 3G lollipop phones. The Chinese GD580 is a 3G lollipop phone also.

There are 2 versions of the new Chinese Ice Cream phone GD310 (GSM), and KV600 (3G)

I don't think you can choose how long music plays for a text message alert. But you can choose whether you want it to alert you once or every couple of minutes until you open the message to read it. I hope this helps you.
