it is very difficult to start a fire with stainless steel and a firestarter striker, much better to use a high carbon steel. Nifty concept, but for just over $20 I'm kind of eh about it, especially compared to a DIYed slightly bulkier yet more reliable kit.

Does anyone know if the magnifying glass is capable of creating fire? I don't think it can because they make a fire version but I'm just curious. Thank you in advance:)

You must be a really small woman. Those things look HUGE in your hands. I wish you didn't have to pick and choose options with the cards, loose the magnifying glass and replace it with a small led light then you could have the compass too. Did the blade in yours come very sharp? Mine was dull as hell.

Your gear videos are always great. It would be nice if you would field test more of these things. Play with them. Try them out, and see what really works well, and what does not. Everything looks good brand new. Put this stuff through the ringer!!!
