  • I didn't find any different between Lucy good and Lucy bad ending.

  • @Astru26

Were you watching the videos in mute? The difference is in the dialog. In the 'good' ending McCoy says he gathered enough DNA information to keep themselves alive as long as possible. In the 'bad' ending McCoy says he didn't get enough DNA information so they only have 4 years max. to live.

There's another version I haven't uploaded where Lucy is human which is the same as this ending minus the bit talking about DNA information.

  • I played this game a million times too, and tried to catch all the variations.

The remaining 4 endings, I suspect, have just some sentences and information missing because of plot variations.

For example, in the Lucy and Dektora car endings, if either of them is human McCoy doesn't say anything about the DNA information. Also, if they ask you to meet them at Crazy Legs' and you go to the Moonbus instead, they are not in the Moonbus when it takes off and therefore the endings is without them.

  • @Loratzui

Yeah, I've got maybe 3 of the 4 additional endings not uploaded here. I just haven't had the chance to record and upload them. You're right as far as the other endings being only slightly different. Although I have to say I have had games where Lucy/Dektora ask me to meet them at Crazy Legs', I've gone to the moonbus and they were there too (that's actually how I got the moonbus endings with them talking to McCoy).

  • @owaffs Yeah, ditto, I never understood who snitched me out, I was really hoping to ditch them! :D

  • just finished the game with this ending, it was awesome but I have a some things I'm confused about... Can anyone help clear it up?

1- with the VK test I always found the subject to be human (the guys in the cells, dektora, the gun shop guy, lucy), is it meant to be that way or did I do it wrong? Figure it would make sense if the VK test just isn't accurate or was faulty or something. Or they really are all humans but then... wtf.

2- isn't Lucy supposed to be like 14? So this is kind of creepy.

  • @Reklawniks

In regards to the first question, the results from the VK test depend on the hidden settings the game selects when you start a new game. Some are always human (ie. Spencer Grigorian, and I think Bullet Bob), but you can get a replicant VK result for Lucy and Dektora. If anyone gets arrested (e.g. Izo or Gordo) then in that game they were human, but Izo and Gordo can be replicants too (you just won't get to VK them). How many times have you played a new game? I can tell you the...

  • @owaffs

clues that the game gives to hint when a character is human or replicant before you get to VK them.

In regards to the second question, yeah Runciter says near the beginning of the game that she's 14 years old. If she turns out to be human in the game, then, yeah that is pretty creepy. If she's a replicant in the game then she's not even 14 but between 1 and 4 years old - maybe that's creepier? But then at least the abuse doesn't seem so severe (because she wouldn't be human).

  • @owaffs or McCoy is a replicant so he's younger than her haha :)

it was my first time playing, awesome game but I'll leave it a while before another pop

  • @Reklawniks Heh. In some countries (China, Italy, Germany, the Balkan countries) the age of consent is 14. Still, Ray looks some 10 odd years older than her so it is kinda creepy. Reps, on the other hand, just wouldn't care I think, since they don't really have the same concept of "age" as humans and can't have children.

  • I got this ending, just played it for the first time. I was blown away by this game, 1997??

Next on my list are Grim Fandango, The Last Express, Gabriel Knight series, The Dig, Full Trottle

I think I'm going to play this game again though, I hear there's like 7 different endings, this is the ending I wanted though.

  • @lenerene

Yeah, this game is still fun to play even now.

I can tell you there's more than 7 variations to the ending (I've uploaded 9 already ^_^" ). This is also my favorite ending.

  • When you first met Lucy DON´T make the V.K. Test with her. Then later in the game she will make the Test by her own volition and you finally see she is a Human.

  • That only works if the game dynamics have pre-selected her to be human. I've played that scene and got Replicant as the answer, when the game set her as a replicant.

  • @owaffs

    Did you retire her?

  • @SickBritKid

    Who? Lucy? Dektora?

I tend not to retire anyone unless I'm playing as a 'hunter'.

  • @owaffs

Lucy. Have you ever retired her when you found she was a Rep?

  • @SickBritKid

I've never retired her when I've VK'd her and she got a rep. result - because I was playing as a rep. sympathiser in those games. I have retired her when I've known she was a rep. without carrying out the VK test. I was playing for a Blade runner ending in that game though.

  • @owaffs

How'd you know she was a Rep without VKing her?

    Did you have "The Magic"?

  • @SickBritKid

    I've got "the magic" lol.

It's pretty simple really. At the beginning of Act 2, when you investigate Eisenduller's lab, before going in the room search the floor under the computer panel. More often than not there's a trade pamflet. If it is for a lolita model then Lucy is a rep. If the pamflet isn't there then she's a human. This can be confirmed in the intro to Act 3 when Sadik talks to Clovis, if he says "the girl, she is sick" that means Lucy is a rep.

  • @owaffs

As a side note, if the pamflet is for an entertainment model then that means Gordo is a rep. This can be confirmed by a news report that Tyrell has recalled a batch of faulty entertainment reps. because 'they're not funny'.

If Sadik says "your woman, she's sick" that means Dektora is a rep. This can be confirmed if the scorpions from the Peruvian lady are sold.

  • @owaffs

    Uh-huh.

Well, I'll make note to keep an eye out for that whenever I play the game again...

What about if both Lucy and Dektora are reps?

  • @SickBritKid

You can get a scenario where both Lucy and Dektora are reps. It will combine clues I mentioned above, eg. lolita model pamphlet, Sadik saying "the girl, she's sick", plus the scorpions being bought (which will kill Taffy Lewis if you manage to sneak into his office and find the CD behind the radiator on the wall). Also, Dektora can appear in the photo Izo takes of McCoy looking shocked when Izo tries to make his escape and sometimes the ground car is bought/registered in her name.

  • I've only got Lucy as a human only once, the rest of the time she was a replicant and Dektora was always a replicant no matter what I did :s

  • I'm doing another playthrough right now where I've VK'd Dektora and she's positived as Human, so hopefully I'll get a human Dektora vid up soon.

  • If both Mccoy and Lucy are humans, Mccoy only says "I didn't know where we were going, and I didn't much care, away from the city first, and then as far as this heat could take us" since neither are Replicants.

  • thanks :D

That saves me the trouble of checking the human ending. Still, I might try and get it just for peace of mind's sake. :)

  • Considering Mccoy, along with Lucy (or Dektora depending on the player's choices) are humans, the DNA information which the Replicants need to escape their four-year lifespan is ommited from the ending and that's the sole difference. My favourite way of playing the game is to have Sadik, Dektora, and Gordo as Replicants and Lucy as a human. I usually portray Mccoy as going from hunter to sympathizer, the only Replicants I kill are Zuban and Gordo but I always spare Lucy, Dektora and the twins.

  • i got a ending when macoy and lucy are humans

  • Yeah, I've had that ending too. I just never recorded it (because on all the recorded play-throughs she was never human), I don't remember if it differs (much) from this ending. I'll have to do a replay (and continually reset if the game decides to make her replicant >_>).

  • i wanna do as macoy and lucy.

Drive out in the forest and fish my own food or something.
