Let's not forget that we didn't want everyone to start committing suicide over there. We wanted to win, not completely wipe them off the face of the earth. Too many of the Japanese were afraid that we would just kill them because they were there. It's what they were taught to believe. Are nukes bad? Sure, I guess. However I'd rather have dropped those two bombs and allowed the Japanese people to continue on so that I could have my fiance instead of all of them killing themselves out of fear.

The fact is every Country knows what firepower and technology the US has for it's line of defense for the protection of the US and it's people. For any Country with the knowledge of what we have, then commits an act of war against the US and it's people can cry after or they could not state they did not know. If any Country attacks the US, the US will again defend it's self and it's people. It amazes me how so many can act so shocked when any country attacks a superpower and pays for it dearly.

What was the Lusitania doing in hostile waters in the middle of a war between Britain and Germany???? It was supplying the British. Look it up. We were also involved in WW2 before Pearl Harbor. History books might have you believe we were neural, but we absolutely were not. And Iraq didn't attack us. The Iraq war was a "preemptive" war. Remember WMD's?
