  • FANTASTIC!

  • THE BEST!

  • @marcelmombeekpiano I dont agree. There is a big difference in his re-recordings of many Chopin pieces.

  • AWESOME!

  • @marcelmombeekpiano Your opinion. We dont need to share dont we?

  • @marcelmombeekpiano Rubinstein not a musician? You are a nut man..who do you think you are? Get lost Pinnochio.

  • This is crazy badass.

  • very impressive! cziffra is the best.

  • very impressive! cziffra is best.

  • @marcelmombeekpiano rubinstein was a musician and so was richter in the sense that each did interpret their own music; however each pianist has their specialty. if u do not believe that rubinstein has interpretation listen to his grieg 1. richter... wanderer's fantasie is wonderful

  • GREAT ! THE BEST!

  • this generosity in the interpretation of the main theme is unique. Richter does an etude, Cziffra makes music.... he uses the technique to make music. Thats why his interpretations are very personal and even sometimes controversial but always interesting . Richter never reached that level of interpretation in these etudes. Neither did Pollini or Horowitz. Rubinstein is also very interesting in the few etudes he recorded.

  • @uhartchristian could not have said it better. Cziffra makes music. He's not trying to win a contest, he's making music.

  • The part from 0:49 to 1:09 is outstanding, monstruous, and fabulous. Cziffra does the best job. Congrats !

  • mmmmh !

  • Cziffra is indeed a master technician. Murray Perahia doesn't match it, but I think Perahia expresses the etudes more sensitively.

  • ONly two I can compare to this one: alexei sultanov's and Ignaz Friedman's. God bless them all!

  • He liked a massive pair of tits stuffed in his face before going on stage apparently. Massive soft nipples Hmmmmm

  • what?

  • Doped...

  • Damn! Heard this piece by sooo many pianists. THIS is exciting!

  • Dont you here his technic. If you are a painist then you should no. His technic is far more advanced then valentina lisitsa.

  • He plays the arpeggios in the left hand much more elegantly then Valentina Lisitsa ...her playing is very harsh in this Etude.

  • @rclacey4203 ? compare Cziffra to Liszt, not to Valentina who knows who...otherwise anyone can be better than cziffra (if one dares to compare him to valentina)

  • @PrincessDesert lmfao valentina who? seriously, she's another overpromoted pianist. she lacks techincs, feelings.... she's no better than those thousands of asian people.

  • @xAnonymousss That's pure bullshit! And you lack any sense. You have no idea what you're talking about

  • @PrincessDesert lmfao valentina who? seriously, she's another overpromoted pianist. she lacks techincs, feelings.... she's no better than those thousands of asian people.

  • @rclacey4203 he was older.

  • @rclacey4203 That's not true. Lisitsa's technic is superb. I prefer her touch. It's more artistic, beautiful, lyrical and soft, than Czifra's (BTW than # then). Her technic is no way worse!

  • @Hobott I doubt it. And what gives you the idea you're right? You can't even spell Cziffra's name correctly.

  • @MrLieblingsessen do you really think he doesnt know how to spell his name right or do you think he just missed an f when typing

  • great interpretation and playing but I don't care for the piano that's he playing on.

  • such a fast tempo I haven't heard an interpretation like this so far! Respect

  • He feels it.

  • the utmost velocity... O.o

  • The speed is something to be frowned upon but the poetry in this interpretation is utmost.

  • Cziffra was and still is the all consumate pianist of the 20th century

  • I guess what I mean by that comment is that.. it amazes me how Cziffra can take compositions as fragile and sensitive as Chopin's and make them sound so virile. Rachmaninoff's music has the same emotional inundation as Chopin's, but it's more robust.

  • He almost makes it sound like Rachmaninoff..

    Or is it just me?

  • FIERCE!!!!!!!

    Cziffra is un-freakin-believable.

  • Wow. I heard ONE mistake near the beginning.

So... he's human after all. It certainly doesn't detract from the simply AMAZING performance by Maestro Cziffra.

I guess it proves he isn't a furious pianistic machine, though.

  • Once again, an example of an etude I've heard performed countless times (and in this case used to play myself). This is the best version I've heard (Horowitz is a close second). The section that starts at 0:49 definitely tipped the scales in Cziffra's favor.

  • FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

FROM 0'50 TO 1'20 JUZ WTFFFFF DAIM!!!!

  • Full of fiery passion!
