The fact of the matter is that humans are the only animals that hunt for sport. Wolves hunt to stay alive, and they would never attack a human unless they were feeling threatened or were sick (like with rabies). Yet humans kill the wolves, who don't have anyone to stick up for them. Hopefully the cause of saving these animals will spread to others who actually have the decency and compassion to care about THEIR cause.
You can boycot beef all you want, people been doing it for years.Protest the processing plants and so on, at the end of the day America wants to eat a steak and thats the long and short of that story.
If you want the wolves saved your time would be better spent walking the fence lines on public land stopping them from going onto private property. Sounds like a lot of work I know but if the cause is so important to you why not put in the work.Somebody like that I would at least respect.
If you took the care to put a fence at least... But no, you can't be bothered with something like that. A good fence keeps predators off the private property, but apparently many hunters and farmers ignore that there can't be 2 massive objects on the same space at the same time.
The fence idea is the most ludicrous statement I've heard. Our property is fenced to keep in our cattle and it is constantly being repaired. To keep out wolves we would be installing 6'-8' dug in fencing that would have to go around our entire ranch. Approximately 165 miles of fencing @ $22 a foot. Some of the terrain is so steep that it couldn't be dug in due to rock. That simple project you talk about would cost in the neighborhood of 20 million dollars.

Alaska wolves have never been threatened, so what's the fuss? In Yellowstone they introduced a Canadian import wolf, which is much more aggressive and deadly than the original wolf. This video is deceptive. Idahoans don't want to kill off all the wolves, they want to delist them. Yes, there will then be permits available to hunt them but only a limited amount. The population will be nutured as well as controlled. The controlled is meant to protect the ecosystem and natural balance in Idaho since humans have already fucked it up before. As much as you don't like it, people are apart of the circle of life too. The only natural predators of wolves are humans. They're not talking about killing all wolves, they're talking about delisting them from an endangered species. If populations are not kept in check, they will eventually hurt themselves and other species, just like humans. Humans have no natural predators and that's why we have so many freaking problems.

I saw something about this on TV a while back...Finally wolves are making a comeback and the farmers start making a big deal. They can already shoot a wolf if they believe it has killed their livestock, what else do they want? They're subsidized up the ying yang already so why not throw another one on top if a farmer loses stock. Better option than killing off such an amazing species.

Why exactly are they killing them off? Is it because they're overpopulated and killing too many elk? If so then yes we need to kill a few of them to return balance we don't want the elk to disappear. This video is deceptive. Idahoans don't want to kill off all the wolves, they want to delist them. Yes, there will then be permits available to hunt them but only a limited amount. The population will be nutured as well as controlled. The controlled is meant to protect the ecosystem and natural balance in Idaho since humans have already fucked it up before. Things are done this way for protection not destruction.

As much as you don't like it, people are apart of the circle of life too. The only natural predators of wolves are humans. They're not talking about killing all wolves, they're talking about delisting them from an endangered species. If populations are not kept in check, they will eventually hurt themselves and other species, just like humans. Humans have no natural predators and that's why we have so many freaking problems.

Our ability to use a weapon is part of our adaptation. Of course we would have no defense without one but that was how we evolved. That's why we're at the top of the food chain. You can learn this in any freshman biology class.

Haha, well thank you for your permission. But yes, a weapon is the product of our intelligence. Look, my whole point is that there is a natural order, and humans have the intelligence to abuse it. But keeping these animals on the endangered species list not only threatens them, it threatens the habitat and species they coexist with. Since humans have already meddled so much, consideration needs to be taken on what protecting the animals does to the ecosystem.

There were more animals around when the lands were less populated. With the rise of human numbers and the amount of the homes duplexes;town homes;condos etc. There are more trees being torn down and more land being exposed thus migration of animals that were content in their homes to move; to survive; what would you do if someone was chopping down your house?

I saw something about this on TV a while back...Finally wolves are making a comeback and the farmers start making a big deal. They can already shoot a wolf if they believe it has killed their livestock, what else do they want? They're subsidized up the ying yang already so why not throw another one on top if a farmer loses stock. Better option than killing off such an amazing species.
