  • I need to quit doing my pussy Broad River crap and get on some real white water. I just need a kayak that can handle white water first.

    Great Video!

  • Nice.

  • wow, sweeeet

  • Sorry for the music...keep getting flagged for copyright violations. I must be really hurting the music industry :D

  • can anyone tell me what the red boat at 1:17, and 1:25 is?

  • I believe both of them are Riot boats, I know for sure the one at 1:25 is, although the exact model name escapes me right now.

  • @creekboy24 yeah its the oldschool riot river runner

  • jesus... can't believe you went off of bald river falls.

  • eh, that lower section is about 15-20 feet, and it's a very nice landing, you just don't have much time to get set up from the tiny pool you have. I had scouted the main falls forever, sending multiple empty boats over but there is just nowhere to land safely, the water is very shallow and rocky there, so no go for me :)

  • i've seen people do it before, but only once.

  • dagger RPM isthe best boat eva i gt one

    love it

  • nice tellico+bald river falls stuff!

  • wish we had such rivers here too...

  • DAGGER RPM! CLASSIC W00T!!!

  • Great vids. I'm getting into Kayaking

  • ahh! good video some of those drops nearly threw the paddlers over due to various reasons like body postion and air paddeling, im being picky with small errors as im no better myself, good video, some of those were grade 3 drops too. last drop looked fun though

  • good footage, makes me hate winter ;) until next spring

  • Nice :)

But in 90% of the video the level of the rapids reaches level 4 at best...

Keep up the good work :)

  • I disagree, I'd say almost 90% of these rapids are "class" V, the rest are class III and IV. This from a guy who posted a video of someone thrashing about in a class II wave, and calls it "levels" :P

  • That wave is just a bit of fun when all other rivers are dry... And about "levels" - you should read the official definition of each one and you'll see why these cant't be called lvl 5... BTW - i like the video very much... i'm just being precise. Obviously too much :)

  • .. Thing is, actually, we better talk about "classes", not "levels".

And guys, you should all sometimes put your paddle INTO water, not in the air, it's kinda useless.

  • Omg that looks so cool! Espcially the part at around 47 secs!

  • Thanks for the response. I was being a bit harsh and wished I could have erased that comment. It is good footage, on some great looking rivers.

    cheers

    Jay

  • Nah, it's a valid point. I am trying to compress some other files now (100mb limit hurts) that show more of what you're looking for. Most of what I filmed is in eastern Tennessee and Georgia. Thanks for the comments!

  • I shot and edited the video. Most shots are cut at the bottom of the drop because it is simply boring. The paddler is usually fine, so I cut away to keep the video moving. If a paddler is worked over, it's usually left in.

This is a shorter version of a video I had produced. At the end I show replays of drops where paddlers got worked over, but I'm glad you enjoyed some of it.

  • Videos like this really annoy me, great whitewater but the editor cuts out the end of almost every drop. The interesting part is what happens at the bottom - did he make it or did he get worked ?
