grrrrrrrrrrr im realy confused because ive seen like 20 vids on this game and they say diffrent things every time i want to get this game but i want to make sure its good can someone help me out -_-
Now that is where you are wrong, you don't just have to follow the on-screen prompts, you can play the tune any way you want. And also it gives little kids a rough idea on how to play certain instrument. Almost all the reviews on Youtube are negative and all of those reviews are wrong. Take it from a 12-year-old who enjoyes playing the game. I could play it for hours on end!
I tried WiiMusic this weekend and I must say I heartily disagree with your review. The gameplay is a lot of fun with friends or just on your own, and however it seems to not have an ending or goal, the sense of making a song together is enough, and it's about having fun, not getting the top score. Rock Band and Guitar Hero arent accessible to everyone. A lot of my friends have tried it and cannot get the hang of it, but with this its simply about having fun.
I get what you're saying about it being all about 'having fun' - and it's something I agree with, however, it isn't fun. My niece (4) and nephew (9) were both bored after 10 minutes - hence my opinion in the review. I'm all for the simplicity of Nintendo products, and introducing the whole family to a game - but this is taking that simplicity too far. The movements possible with the Wiimote are far too simplistic for something like this. A nice diversion, sure, but not worth £30.
Hm... I think it may be down to taste. I mean, I know that it is far too simple. I had dissapointments too, I wanted more songs in the Conducting minigame, and a complete Improv Jam would be fun, or a way to compose, and me and my friend were discussing this, and we came to the conclusion that it was the line between accessability andfunctionality. Play Electroplankton on the DS, then play the KORG DS-10. One allows you to make something that resembles music and is simple, and another...
...allows for full synthesis capability and the ability to build up an entire track within the game and save it, but the downside of that is you have to know about synthesis, sequencers, and actually be musical. Nintendo possibly tried to make WiiMusic more customizable but in the process would have alienated their younger audience. Thanks for your feedback though and I hope mine has been constructive!
I hope Nintendo is going to do something next year, or they will probably die. I mean no ONE is buying a Wii anymore. It's like a sh.tbox. I didn't touch mine since summer and bought a xbox 360 instead. I hope nintendo is going to make some new games for the core-games PLEASE!!!!
No one's buying a Wii because everyone already HAS one. Nintendo is doing great, they always did. The only console I disliked was the GameCube (Opinion), but the Wii is and always will be, a classic.
Dude, I can promise you I'm not getting paid to say this, I wouldn't stoop that low. God, I can't say any intelligent thing on YouTube without getting eaten alive by people. Need I list the great games the Wii has? Brawl, Galaxy, Mario Kart Wii, the list goes on. I will agree that the Wii isn't a "hardcore" console, but to say it doesn't have games is a completely ignorant and uneducated statement.
are you joking? The wii has been the biggest platform going. seriously not many ppl do NOT have one, yeah okay i do prefer my xbox, i worked in retail for a bit and the wii stuff, was always out stocked. always.
only to the people, who are new to the wii with it's "awesome" motion controller remote blablabla......But if you have the Wii for a while you'll realize it's a piece of junk....
if you only compare the graphic from gh3 on the wii and xbox 360 you can say u get "eye" cancer from the wii version........i only use my wii for a sport session on the balance board after playing far cry 2 and fable 2
i have never really been a fan of the Nintendo range. I have been more of a Sony boy, but the Wii is more of a gimmick than a gamers console. Nintendo said that it would the games would appeal to all ages, but i think that it is more of a child's game than an adults.
i agree with u man when i first saw the wii i was like o cool than i heard brawl was coming out i wasnt really into it what got me to buy it was that u would never find it thats what got everyones attention they most of thought if its always sold out it most be good but now that crap is out of good games comeon animal crossing isnt a hardcore game
wii as a concept is original. unfortunately it has now run its course - the limitations of the platform are becoming more and more apparent with each release, and wii music is clearly no different.
nintendo, as much as i love them, have run out of ways to keep the wii interesting AND maintain some replayability.
nintendo, the gimmick is dying. expect mario kat wii 2 soon as a last desperate attempt.

No depth?????
You've got to be kidding me.
This is the deepest, most imaginative , and most complex video game ever made.
