can you teach me how you did the modeling? i have the program and ummm maybe im an idiot XD (not impossible) but i havent been able to even MAKE a model, rig it, make an armature, bones, muscle weight painted, or any of that. so could you tell me how you made it?
I would love to get into robot design whether digital or otherwise but unfortunately I choose geology for my career. Ah what a life that would be to design robot assassin ninjas. Ah what a dream....
my friend i need an advice before invest money but what you recommend me for rendering to build 10 computer with a lot of memory ram and good processor or instead a lot memory ram to buy for each computer a graphic card like nvidia quadro fx 580 , soo i don't know if for rendering i really need a graphic card in each cluster ,but i read that this kind of graphic card is for production or may be you can suggest me something better please could you answer me
You should animate the main body first and go back in and animate the legs! This technique will allow you to generate personality for the subject at hand!
Awesome robot, I love it. I would kinda like to see the main body go further towards the ground and bounce back up a little slower to give more of a sense or weight and secondary motion, maybe have the robot shit for weight balance in the walk.
A long 8 seconds, and very elegant. It would be quite nice if it were a few, not too many, seconds longer. Maybe hold the final frame a half second longer too. Something ... thoughtful? about that creature. And VERY elegant. If you say put a black spot on the ground in it's legs it would be a nice minimovie instead of a test.
i think its awesome, but theres something i dont get: was the trouble in making this cuz they had to animate each step, frame by frame, or was the trouble in creating an engine that would make this move realistically? i dont know how these things are done, so i have absolutely no idea. any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Its not frame by frame, but its not like you can just write an engine and click a walk button either. Think of it like him posing it say every 50 frames (at 30 frames per second or so) and the computer figuring what goes in between, then he can go back and touch it up afterwards if needed.
Looks like the combine made it

cool beans!
interesting character and nice animation, though i think the body could dip just a lli' more upon the initial landing.
like the camera-shake; it adds weight. :D

I like the abruptness of the movements. Works well with the design.
