They were friggin' great and sang what we were all about back then...Girls and cars!

Beatles were something new and a little different, (being from England) so they caught on with most of us kids, but so did the Kinks, The Animals, Jerry and the Pacemakers, The Rolling Stones, etc. When you've got TWO guys in a group of 4 like John Lennon and Paul McCartney though, it makes it hard for everyone else to keep up.
