so tribal and pagan... I own all Rolling Stones albums... but this song is in my top 5 of the band... you can make a top 50 song with the stones... and still be impressive... they are so uniques ... even the Flamin' Groovies can't touch them :-p
If you go online & look up the lyrics, the chorus goes like this: "We don't care if you hound "we" and love is all around "we" Love can't get our minds off We love you, we love you" I HAVE ALWAYS HEARD IT LIKE THIS: "We don't care if you hound "we" and LOCK THE DOORS around "we" Love IS IN our minds ´CAUSE, We love you, we love you" WHAT DO YOU THINK ?
Satanic Majesties and Beggars Banquet... they never made anything better than those two albums IMHO. When Keith started to write every song around open G riffs the experimentation that they had here was lost. Sad, because they were freaking good at it.

Brian did his best work during the Satanic Majesties period. I think it was more innovative then Sgt Pepper, maybe not as much as SF Sorrow (pretty things), but still totally out there and interesting!
@Justlola2010 You can ignore that fact if you want to but don't expect the entire world to be blind like you. The Beatles > The Rolling Stones. They are both big and successful but, compared to each other, they are in different levels (The Beatles on a higher one).
@menoziinrevoltado - The Beatles wrote the soundtrack to our lives - the songs that the worlds population knows best - I bet I spend more time listening to the Stones though
@LACraig621- Shut your mouth! He had "issues", but without Jones there'd be NO Stones. Today is Brian's 69th birthday, show some respect. What you doin on here anyway? r u 1 of 2 dislike??
Freakin Brian Jones looks half dead in this video. No wonder the Stones fired him, he never wrote a song for them and as you can see on this video why. Probably didn`t know where he was half the time.
this promo is quite something, the Stones did just after the infamous Redlands bust for drugs set by The News of the World in1967.
In the video Keith plays the judge and Mick and Marianne are mimicking Oscar Wilde and Lord A. B. Douglas nicknamed "Bosie", poet better known as the lover of Oscar Wilde in another infamous trial. The one Oscar Wild endured for sodomy back in 1895. Tune starts with the marching and clanging of jail doors closing and ends like a rag, awesome! Thanks 4 postin
I went to see Keiths house (redlands) down in surrey. Don't know if he was there, but i just wanted to say i'd been there where so many things happened over the years (eg famous drugs bust of '67). There's a moat around the house where mick and brian once had a fight apparently!
most bands will give their right arm for such a great song, and the stone dont put it on an album until 5 years later THE STONES ARE THE GREATEST ROCK BAND .... EVER
@TheMaz1964: This track SO SHOULD HAVE BEEN on "Their Satanic Majesties Request." It would have been perfect as the closing track to side one of the album instead of that "Sing This All Together (See What Happens)" noodling piece of crap!
The drug there are on is nt cannabis ffs its called madrax and it did for jones , stick to your herb youngsters. Im still going strong after many years . Mind you uk s weed supply is more for cattle than humans .

The "acting" part was director Peter Whiteheads idea to make what was happening to Brian at the time mimic the 1895 trial of Oscar Wilde. Though originally thought to portray the Stones drug arrests, Brian, was systematically being forced out of the band. Not showing up etc. Nowadays the band would be to blame for not trying to get him help, back then there were no rehabs. It was survival of the fittest. Mick + Keith sitting in judgement of Brian is eerily similar to the reality of Jones demise
A psychedelic masterpiece with mellotron and dark lyrics. Its b side Dandelion was even crazier. Unfortunately the Stones did not focus on recording such masterpieces. Unfortunately they recorded typical blues like 'little rooster ' and typical modern disco like 'miss you'& 'dancing in the street' Shame.
!967 Rolling Stones included their founder who introduced Mick and Keith to the blues and musical exotica. Brian jonesdead at twenty-sevengave the band an evolutionary blow-by-blow with the Beatles.
Brian Jones gave them mystique. His replacementRonnie Woodgave them volume.
@maier42 No the Beatles are better and the greatest band of all time. All the Stones did was copy them up till 68' when they came into their own with "Beggars Banquet." They were friends anyway though, there was never any real rivalry because it went without saying the Beatles were King. Thats just the way it is so deal with it.
@madeddi Mick Jagger I think that Micks a joke with all his stupid faggot dancing I always did, and wiggling his ass you know its just a lot of bullshit. Beatles & Stones the two greatest bands in the history of popular music!!
@RobertRouse LOL... Everyone with their Stones vs. Beatles jarb and they don't even realize their posting on a Stones song in which there are Beatles singing on the record.
All of you need to quit the Beatles vs Rolling Stones. Bands respect each other, and have been friends for decades. The 'Stones admit the Beatles were a better band in the 60's, but not as of the 80's. McCartney has acknowledged the Rolling Stones as the greatest band.
The Rolling Stones could use a new bass player... ahhhh forget it. Wishful thinking.
I assume you are referring to I Wanna Be Your Man. It is true that the Beatles offered this song to the Stones. However it was NOT their international breakthrough. The Stones their international breakthrough came in 1964 with exactly the same kind of Rhythn & Blues covers that made them allready a sensation in the British clubcircuit in 62 (when no one had heard of the Beatles yet). So whether the Beatles would have existed or not, the Stones would had become famous in 64 anyway.
However if you are referring to the fact that the Beatles were the first band that composed their own songs, and that the Stones copied that (by Andrew Loog Oldham locking Keith and Mick up)? Than yes you are right, if it wasn't for the Beatles Andrew would proberly never have thought of that. However, the Stones did NOT become famous with their own compositions because by that time they were ALLREADY famous because of their R&B covers.
Than again if you are referring to this vid specificly. I honestly think that the Beatles importance for the psychedelic era is extravagated. Because the Beatles did NOT invent the flowerpower thing, it had developed independently on the west coast of US. Pink Floyd was in fact the first British band to pick up on that. And than in 67 everyone did. You seem to forget that the Beatles and the Stones were friends, Mick sings along on All You Need and Paul an John on the above Stones one.
This one proofs it definiteley. They have been better than the Beatles all the time. No song of the Beatles' greatest Album "Sgt. Peppers..." can match with it. I respect and like the Beatles, but I love and admire the Stones.
Music is not a contest. It ain't American Idol or Billboard or anything like that. Top best of lists and sales reports mean NOTHING. MAKING AND EXPERIENCING MUSIC IS EVERYTHING! !!
