Ladies and gentlemen, the most inappropriately OP bastard in the show :( I don't like how they make him eons stronger than Kid who is supposed to the the grim freaking reaper's heir, and the the main character duo MAKA and SOUL! I mean Soul's name is in the title of the series! Lol. I wish Soul was a solo-raised death scythe, with Maka as a weapon herself. TAG TEAM death scythes, which would make them as bad-ass as Justin law, if not more. The first ever case of two weapons becoming partners!

Soul isn't a Autonomous Weapon, because it's an unusual skill that only a few weapons know. People like Spirit or Marie can use their weapon forms without a meister, but it's not effective, Soul is a Demon Scythe, still a premature Death Scythe, and Maka Albarn is both weapon and meister, as shown in the anime at the end when she went unconscious to fight Asura, but she can only use that form when unconscious. Death the Kid beat BlackStar each time.

Which is wrong compared to the Manga, while Black*Star may have gotten stronger after having Tsubaki consume the soul of Masamune, giving her other forms even more powerful than before. But, Kidd's almost a fully-awakened Shinigami. Seeing as he can use the Skull Shields, and that fact that Liz and Patty become .42 soulwidths Death Eagles, so in the manga, Kidd can easily destroy BlackStar. But in the anime, Black*Star can beat Kidd.

@IsaakShinigami Well actually in the manga too, just a few chapter ago... Kiddo told Soul that Black Star has gotten much stronger than himself. And he is gonna try his best to catch up to him. Everybody thinks that Black Star is the strongest meister, and has been so for a while. Stein, Maka, Kiddo, they all think so.

But of course when Kiddo becomes a fully awakened Shinigami, things will change. And it looks like it might happen soon enough. We just have to wait for the end of the Moon arc:(

In the manga, he mentions that he has to thank Kid specifically for that beating because it helped him realize what he needed to do.

Kid admits that Black Star is stronger than him in the manga, and this is AFTER he connects the Lines of Sanzu and gets the Death Eagle .42s. I'm going to assume you haven't caught up. Kid's still nowhere near as powerful as his dad. Black Star and Tsubaki's Shadow Star forms are stronger than what Kid can do.

ya the Manga and the anime turn into 2 COMPLETELY different stories after Medusa gets captured by Shibushin. In the anime they let her go in the Manga she leads the Assault on Babba yaga's Castle. after that they start to go down 2 different paths.
