Why is she singing over a playback? Damn shame. She has a great voice. She needs a live band and back-up singers. Hate that money can't be invest edto take hip-hop and r&b artist up a notch.

amerie is a really great artist! I love her! but someone should tell her that she needs some backround singers because the playback vocals sound pretty lame compared to her live voice.... She seems to do that kind of performance all the time but it really sucks, it would be so much better if everything would be live, from the music to the backing vocals!

but I still admire her :D

I agree, but this performance is almost 3 years old, even thou the person uploaded it in 2009 thou. But, her voice is very unique, and distinct, it'd be hard to find vocalist who have similar vocals to hers, to sing background.
