  • i love lois nettleton :D

  • Lois was also great on "Mary Tyler Moore" when she fell in love with Lou Grant.

  • the lawrence olivier moment is on part 2 of What Not to Do on Pyramid.

  • Ingredients for a cake would have gotten buzzed in the later versions.

  • I remember Lois in the unintentionally hilarious women's prison film called "Women In Chains".

  • The former Mrs. Jean Shepherd

  • I didn't know her, I was watching MAIL ORDER BRIDE, on insight encore ch{644) from 1964 starring Buddy Ebsen.

I remember her face, unique, one of the sweetest! So I did a search. The way she looked in that movie in 1964 I was surprised and shocked to find she was gone!

  • I remember lois guest staring on an episode

of coach when luther moved to a retirement

    community

  • I love Lois since the first time I saw her in " All that Glitter" she was one of my favorities and will miss her.

  • @gabino72

And she was in an episode of Twilight Zone- where she was burning up in her apt, from the sun being closer.

  • @younghoss

She also played Kwai Chang Caine's sister-in-law in a couple episodes of Kung Fu, around 1975.

  • Close win!

  • Things that are hitched back in this era seemed to be the hardest subject to get in the winners circle. Lois did an exceptional job, except what Lois gave as clues were the only two things I could come up with.

  • R.I.P. LOIS

  • I happened upon this website because I was looking for Lois Nettleton. I never heard she died. When did she die? I talk about her often to my kids. She was a guest star on almost every show that was on when I was a kid. I'll never forget her in that episode of (was it Twilight Zone? or Night Gallery) when she was in her slip the entire time because it was so hot, then it turned out at the end-that it was actually really cold. Does anybody remember that?

  • Yes, It was the Twilight Zone. An amazing episode. I'll never forget Lois.

  • "Ingredients for a cake?!?" BUZZZZ! I think the judge was asleep on that one!

  • They were much more lenient on clues in the 70s. Prepositional phrases became illegal starting with the New $25,000 Pyramid.

  • Great lady and one of THE great game shows. I wish the old shows were on DVD.

  • Lois was an exceptional Pyramid player!

  • I just searched for Lois Nettleton to see what she was up to. Didn't know she passed away. She was a class act, I worked with her in 1978 on Centennial, the mini-series filmed in Colorado. Lois was a warm, disarming, and generous person...as well as a beautiful woman inside and out.

  • Lois was a lovely and talented actress who will be so missed. I'm a big fan of hers and really enjoyed seeeing this!

  • According the the Supershow 8000 celebrity archives, the "$25,000 Pyramid" ep. was aired on February 3, 1979. I have no idea when the other ep. was aired (unless you know who the other celeb was)

  • That's the 2nd-to-last episode of the series, from June 1980.

  • Thanks for the information! I am a BIG Pyramid fan and I enjoyed this very much.

  • What year was this from !980?

  • lois nettleton was a great actor

i was so shock to hear she died also i could not believe she was 80

  • Lois Nettleton was an incredible person and brilliant theater actress-

  • Just barely got HITCHED in, 0 time left.

And I have all 12 $100,000 wins, Howie.

  • Am a fan of the wonderful Lois Nettleton. She appears to have been a smart cookie, too, in addition to a fine actress....God bless her.

  • Didn't Lois play a couple of times on "Pyramid" with Donny Osmond?

  • Hello everybody. Lois will definitely be missed. Do you have any winner circle wins from the $100,000 Pyramid?

  • Boy Dick was sure upset at those people talking! lol

  • Wait a minute---"ingredients for a cake" should have been buzzed. "Cake ingredients" would be acceptable.

  • why?

  • Prepositional phrase.

  • The 70s version was more lenient on phrasing. There's a clip out there with Tony Randall describing "Things Made of Cotton" and he says "Stuffing in little bottles of pills"...immediate buzz in the 80s!

  • Lois's clues were adequate; the contestants were great.
