I didn't know her, I was watching MAIL ORDER BRIDE, on insight encore ch{644) from 1964 starring Buddy Ebsen.
I remember her face, unique, one of the sweetest! So I did a search. The way she looked in that movie in 1964 I was surprised and shocked to find she was gone!
Things that are hitched back in this era seemed to be the hardest subject to get in the winners circle. Lois did an exceptional job, except what Lois gave as clues were the only two things I could come up with.
I happened upon this website because I was looking for Lois Nettleton. I never heard she died. When did she die? I talk about her often to my kids. She was a guest star on almost every show that was on when I was a kid. I'll never forget her in that episode of (was it Twilight Zone? or Night Gallery) when she was in her slip the entire time because it was so hot, then it turned out at the end-that it was actually really cold. Does anybody remember that?
I just searched for Lois Nettleton to see what she was up to. Didn't know she passed away. She was a class act, I worked with her in 1978 on Centennial, the mini-series filmed in Colorado. Lois was a warm, disarming, and generous person...as well as a beautiful woman inside and out.
According the the Supershow 8000 celebrity archives, the "$25,000 Pyramid" ep. was aired on February 3, 1979. I have no idea when the other ep. was aired (unless you know who the other celeb was)
The 70s version was more lenient on phrasing. There's a clip out there with Tony Randall describing "Things Made of Cotton" and he says "Stuffing in little bottles of pills"...immediate buzz in the 80s!
i love lois nettleton :D

And she was in an episode of Twilight Zone- where she was burning up in her apt, from the sun being closer.

She also played Kwai Chang Caine's sister-in-law in a couple episodes of Kung Fu, around 1975.

They were much more lenient on clues in the 70s. Prepositional phrases became illegal starting with the New $25,000 Pyramid.
