Can someone help me out? I'm asking this question at every Zelda Ocarina Of Time Vid that I find.
I had a friend who played this game on his N64 (Like me) and he claims that when you first enter the Fire Temple, and see the statues that look like three totem poles , that he can put out the fire that burns from their mouths. And that in the Spirit Temple, as an adult, he can make water appear when you first enter and use the Silver Gauntlets to move the rock.
it only took me like 30 seconds with the biggoron sword.. all u need to to is target him.. then slash, he will gaurd...... roll back then slash l ilow and stab near legs.. basically roll slash x6... i did it a couple of times and he was done
You know the easiest way is just to stab ( UP + B while locked on) with the GORON sword. he has no defence for this. one shot and he drops, repeat 4 or 5 times.
@Martyr9991 wat if by chance you do the water before the fire and don't have the hammer... then again my method involves going thru all the shit to get sword... its just whoevers preference i guess

this strategy works well... but if you're a pimp at the game he's much harder to beat. He is literally as good as you play through the game. mine was outrageously hard but i helped my sister kill hers in about 20seconds without even using hammer or bigsword.
I can fight dark link because I used cheats, if you read the description I used cheats, then warped to the water temple and walked through all the walks to get to him, saved the game using project64's saving option (save at any spot in the game and just use the saved .ZIP file to reload to that save spot) so basically I can fight dark link over and over and over again.
Heh, nice. But when you were fighting him there's a trick. A Fierce Deity Trick.
Before fighting him, or when fighting him. Insert this code, 800794D8 0001, then this code, 80115DD2 0000, and finally the Fierce Deity Mask code which is here, 801EF70F 0035. The first codes were, 1. No Shield, and 2. Blue and White Swipe, for the Deity's Sword.

And the last code was the mask of course,
now, once you put the mask on, you can't
take it off unless you restart the game.

Yeah that is a good way but Din's fire has a very weak damage count, therefore the amount of magic it uses and the time to cast it isn't worth it
