The vertical columns did not affect the collapse that much, suppose we have a bunch of framed glass, dropping a hammer through the glass won't affect the frames(although in the WTC the frames were poorly joined so they fell apart when the floors were gone). The floors were the "glass" and the frames were the exterior columns. You forget the structure of the buildings, tube frame structural system. The floors could not have even handled the static weight of the top.
The core was strong, but not designed to stand alone, if you take a look at the core of building one, what happens is that it starts to tilt until something lower down breaks.
Part of the core survived the entire collapse of WTC1. We know it was intact because it oscillated a few times, like a tree in the wind. Then, a second or so later, it dropped staight down. Some of us consider that a mystery.
Like I said, a floor in the towers could handle 1,300t and the top floors of both towers weighed more than 21,000t, it doesn't matter if it's elastic or plastic or inelastic, all that matters is that the load exceeds the capacity.
Sure the columns could've handled the weight of the tops, but the columns were dislocated.
The collapses wipe out the floors first, the exterior columns fall apart, and moments later the cores collapse.

Using the antenna as a guide, it appears that the floors above the impact zone have completely collapsed by 0:03 of this video. At that time, the floors BELOW the impact point appear to be intact. The question is, WHY did the floors BELOW the impact point collapse as readily as the floors ABOVE?
The lower part of the tower supported the upper part for decades before 9/11/2001.
Pause the video right at 0:03 and note that the top part, above the plane impact, has already collapsed. There is a moderate smoke and dust cloud. The lower part of the tower is still standing, relatively undamaged. Now roll the video. Note how the dust and debris cloud suddenly EXPLODES, well after the top part has already collapsed. Something other than the falling debris from above the impact caused the lower part , below the impact, to explode. Not just collapse; EXPLODE.

I am talking about the building BELOW the plane impact. We all agree it was relatively undamaged, with minimal fire. Let us say the structure ABOVE the plane impact collapsed due to the impact damage and fire.
The antenna shows that the UPPER part, above the impact, had FINISHED collapsing before the LOWER part, below the impact, even STARTED collapsing. The upper part appears to have crumbled as it fell. More like pouring sand on the lower part than hitting it with a hammer.

As the upper part accelerated DOWNWARD, it exerted LESS force on the LOWER PART than it did when it was at rest. In this video, the upper part appeared to crumble from its own bottom as it hit the intact lower part. Thus, it hit more like a load of sand; if it had hit like a hammer it would have DECELERATED as it hit, as the Hackney building did when it hit the ground.
Note: the LOWER part (not the upper) appeared intact as the UPPER hit it.
The LOWER part collapsed afterward.

The vertical columns did not affect the collapse that much, suppose we have a bunch of framed glass, dropping a hammer through the glass won't affect the frames(although in the WTC the frames were poorly joined so they fell apart when the floors were gone). The floors were the "glass" and the frames were the exterior columns. You forget the structure of the buildings, tube frame structural system. The floors could not have even handled the static weight of the top.

Like I said, a floor in the towers could handle 1,300t and the top floors of both towers weighed more than 21,000t, it doesn't matter if it's elastic or plastic or inelastic, all that matters is that the load exceeds the capacity.
Sure the columns could've handled the weight of the tops, but the columns were dislocated.
The collapses wipe out the floors first, the exterior columns fall apart, and moments later the cores collapse.

what is so significant about the movement of the antenna? There are millions of contrbuting factors that will cause all sorts of movements. It's absurd just to look at something from one angle not knowing how well something is bolted where, connected to what, where there are strengths and weaknesses stress and strain that will affect components in such an event etc etc .,. Using the antenna as a guide, it appears that the floors above the impact zone have completely collapsed by 0:03 of this video. At that time, the floors BELOW the impact point appear to be intact. The question is, WHY did the floors BELOW the impact point collapse as readily as the floors ABOVE?
The lower part of the tower supported the upper part for decades before 9/11/2001.

Pause the video right at 0:03 and note that the top part, above the plane impact, has already collapsed. There is a moderate smoke and dust cloud. The lower part of the tower is still standing, relatively undamaged. Now roll the video. Note how the dust and debris cloud suddenly EXPLODES, well after the top part has already collapsed. Something other than the falling debris from above the impact caused the lower part , below the impact, to explode. Not just collapse; EXPLODE.

Sometimes physics is non-intuitive. The upper part of the building collapsed in a reverse-pancake pattern. The impact floor gave way, then each floor above the impact gave way as it hit the floor just BELOW the impact. HOWEVER, the floors below the impact SURVIVED the collapse of the upper portion.
After the upper portion collapsed, there was no reason for the lower portion to collapse. We know the lower structure could support the weight of the upper, as it had for decades!

2 different cameras. 2 different vertical angles. 0:06 and 0:08 are the exact same moment in time. Editor couldn't patch the 2 clips together. It is impossible. They only used the large piece of falling debris to the left AS FOCAL POINT. Look at resolution of smaller concrete bldg in center on both files. 1st file bldg is blurry at a distance. 2nd file bldg is more distinct. If zoomed it would have been a blob! This film is a poor lie just like so many others. Don't be misled friends.
