  • The Lasègue's sign is done primarily to rule out sciatic pain from a herniated disc fyi

  • yea, nice. i really learn a ot from that . Thanks. this is also the first time,i saw the real patient with meningitis. can u tell wat type of meningitis

  • well, in eliciting kernig's sign, i was taught to flex the hip joint fully.... the thigh should touch the abdomen( as written in Harrison's Internal medicine as well as in Hutchison's clinical methods)... not 90 degree.... any comment?? of course the original sign was that the patients were in sitting position n the knee joint extended passively. positive test being inability to extend the knee jt beyond 135 degree...

  • very clear and informative video, thanks a lot for posting it!

The only thing I miss is a deeper respect and sensitiveness towards the patient (those tests are not painless if they're positive..)

  • Very informative, first video that I've seen with an actual meningitis patient. Thank you for posting this.
