How does Miami bring in recruits? Let's see, an elite academic school, located in a major city, with a huge base of local kids who are elite players. Of course some of those kids want to stay home. Combine that with the fact that kids can actually remember the last time we were nationally relevant. I can't say that about Notre Dame. None of the clips have stretched picture. It's cropped on the top and bottom about 85%. But since the title safe area of a 4:3 television frame is 80%, there's minimal loss of viewable picture.

Why wasn't this game shown on the U Documentary? They made it sound like Miami's only loss in 1990 was the upset to BYU. Hence, costing them the shot at the National Title by the time of the Cotton Bowl. When in reality this game sealed them from competing for the National Championship during that season.
