  • I am Nubian, and I have been follow the most online information abou us, and we hope from the people to keep our history as it is without changing anything, as the previous government of Egypt, destroy very important books and other sources about us, also, most of them try to change our history.

  • I'd heard speculation concerning the Templars having contact with Christian Ethiopia, but had never heard of Crusader links to Nubia. The Fifth and Seventh Crusades attacked Egypt and had they got further than the Delta then Christian allies in the south may have been useful. However Sudanese forces are more reguarly reported on the Saracen side, for example fighting for Saladin at the battle of Arsuf during the Third Crusade.

  • i had heard of the Coptic and Ethiopian Churches, but not the Nubian. amazing, amazing things you learn. it is possible that small communities of original Christians even existed in Sudan / Nubia up until the 1700's.

  • Wow this was very informative. Growing up I never knew Christianity was in Africa prior to European colonization. Now I know it was in Sudan, Ethiopia, and Angola before the continent was cut into pieces.

  • @Hannibal7thsign

My Brother there is no diffrence between Copts,Nubian and Ethiopian Christianity, except that Ethiopians circumcise their sons 8 days after birth, like Ancient Hebrews & Ancient Egyptians. what Nubians and Copts do not.

  • @OxxxXXXYXXXxxxO most nubian are now muslims, most copt are now arabs////

  • lol wow this video is awful. they are saying nubians prayed to a white god. the majority of their saints where white wtf. these coons on the comment list dont even see this shit!!

  • @PharaohII They made light skinned paintings bc most of the people in the bible were light skinned. That is not who they prayed to.

  • @GGLebo23 well the art has nothing to do with how the saints really looked (since here is no discription of any kind) but the reason why most of he painting depict lighter skin saints is beacuse nubian art was heavely influence by byzantine art. If you go to an ethiopian church most of the saints are depicted dark skin, even Saint George who was an Roman soldier is depicted as dark skin with an afro. Or like a like skin black man with an afro.

  • @GGLebo23 Those are not light skinned people, they are simply white. And Egypt was fully black, the only light skinned people in Ancient Egyptian art are Asiatics or mixed Egyptians(minorities). America was fully Native American but today its European majority. Does that mean Ancient America was white dominated? No. So that concept doesnt match with Egypt. The people in Egypt today are not the same as the Ancients.

  • if one wants to truly find his black heritage he needs to be orthodox christian

  • @Thanasy25 that is beautifully said.

  • why

  • northern sudanese should have stucked with christ rather being decieveed by the anti-christ religion allukbar islam satan himself

  • awelll welll

  • How did Christian Mythra spread so fast there?

  • This is complete bs. Did you see the pictures the he says @:54 "but in the 1960s there was a stroke of great good fortune" there was in full good glory a medial Nubian Christian painting. Check the faces on it. Just like they come up with documents, artifacts like the "Shroud of Turin" those paintings were probably doctored up as well. Not buying it. They go to great lengths to construct "truths".

  • the back ground sound is actually from Ethiopia.

  • There has always been attempt to seperate Nubia/Sudan from egypt then seperate Nubia from Africa, this will then strop africa of its claim to the greatest civilization world ever seen. this was a clearly and logically black civilization in all sense and susbtance. it is a shame that someelse from far north trying to come and claim it, imagine ethiopians going all the way to italy to claim rome as a black civilization, that would not make sense. the bible was editted from egypt/nubian scripts.

  • Great comment

  • It makes little sense to call Nubia a "black civilization." This documentary shows that it was a powerful and prosperous Christian kingdom that rivalled with the likes of Ethiopia to the South. That it was populated by dark-skinned people is a fact, but not a very significant one! That it produced great art and great works of Christian theology is unquestionable!

  • I'm proud to say...that with all of our(blacks,apes,monkeys...etc) so called "faults" we don't have to destroy and claim the history of other cultures! If there is a bonafide source of TRUTH....then justice will conquer the evil ones;without war!!! Humanity must remember why and how the evil ones went into their "Med-evil period" aka Dark Ages No one declared war to send them back to their caves on Mt. Arat..and the Caucaus mtns!!! We must "will" ourselves into a truthfull AGE!!!!!!!

  • @goldEye55 I really don't believe Egypt was black. I have seen paintings of light skinned and dark skinned people. I think it was mostly non-blk with a black minority. If it was fully black back then, then it would be fully black now.

  • @GGLebo23 I suppose America was always a predominantly white nation then?

If it was Indian then it must be Indian now?

  • @malfini1 Stop trying to steal their history. We black people have had many kingdoms and empires within Sub-Saharan Africa(we're blk ppl are from). If there was some great invasion by Caucasoid peoples over the supposed negroid ppl of Ancient Egypt it would be in the history books. There is no great conspiracy to distort history. Get over it

  • @GGLebo23 Whose history am I trying to steal exactly?

  • @GGLebo23 Whose history am I trying to steal exactly? Firstly the so called subsaharans didn't always live where they lve today. There is linguistic and other anthropoogical data to support this!

  • @malfini1 Google this & click the 5th link(wysinger). Don't even think of telling me these are racist scholars. The main anthropologist doesn't even believe in "race" as having any biological merit. C. Loring Brace wrote a whole book on it. "Race" Is a Four-Letter Word The Genesis of the Concept

Clines and Clusters Versus “Race:” A Test in Ancient

Egypt and the Case of a Death on the Nile

  • @goldEye55 rome when a black civilization at first........

  • @goldEye55 rome when a black civilization at first........

  • Christanity is based on teaching of those elder cultures of the anicent. The Nubians were building pyrimads first then churches much later on. Christanity in essence is really a blackman, woman and child Osiris,Isis, and Heru. The christians learned from the High Priest & Priestess of the Nile civilzations. Noboby is a Christian in the book of Gensis "Genes of Isis".

  • Anias07, I'll doub you'll find somebody more willing to expound on the contributions of Africa to Christianity than me, but you need to really research your words and etymology before trying to link the modern concept of genes or Isis together.

  • No I don't when the Bible was wrtiten in Alexandria, Eygpt. The Septugiant the first collection of the old testament years after the Diaspora of Jerusalem. Genesis is a book of the Edenic seed from Eve/Isis womb, which is the throne of God. Yo the saviour is a woman. Read the Bible backwards, because we are heading back to Eden. Jesus is Heru which the son of Isis which is Mary. We all come to this planet through the womb of a woman even Jesus.

  • Where can I find good solid readings upon this subject.

  • YOur right

  • Anias it is a boon to sound credible, and less about racial politics, it tends to give one an air that lacks credibility among those whom would seek to down play your peoples achievements. In fact it is a most devastating tool in that regard.

  • They can't say nothing no more to us far as I see it. My ancestors left a pretty good record of theirselves here in this Earth. What really bugs me how they dodge the Pyramids on Mars reality. Hello we are Universal culture. All the mummies are humans no aliens found. Truth is truth.

  • Christianity started in Egypt around 42 A.D. the descendants of this ancient faith are called Copts (Christian Egyptians) the Copts were independent from Rome and Constantinople always, and the relations between them severed since the 5th century.

Copts had missions in Ethiopia and Nubia since the 4th century, St. Athanasius ordained a bishop to Ethiopia(Axum) and another one to Pheala(Nubia). Nubia became Christian in the 8th century after the conversion of its kings they followed the Copts

  • christianity started in jerusalem at pentacost, the copts were started by the apostle mark who was killed in 68 a.d and dragged around the city, all orthodox chruches agree that christianity started in jerusalem. Christianity was introduced by the apostle mark to the egypt and started like you said orthodox christianity .two Syrian boys cakked Aedisius and Frumentius, introduced Christianity to Ethiopia though.

  • lol im christian bro, and i dont know about northern sudan though i think that sudan and somalia are heavily muslim.

  • I see alot of white nubians also on the walls or is that the white christians that came from the mediteranean to teach christianity to the nubians.

  • and thus the devilish invasion began

  • update-

alwa was the strongest christian nubian kingdom and was taken over by the funj in 1504 a.d. because of alwan weakness.there were other nubian kindoms in nubia or sudan later on

  • 1100AD, that's when the Pope decided to mass slaughter Muslims in the Holy Lands. The Muslims DID NOT invade Christian lands.

  • Constantinople (in present-day Turkey) fell to the Turks in the 15th Century. Both Arabs and Turks invaded non-Muslim lands, including Christian ones in Europe (Greece,Bulgaria,Romania,Serbia, Iberian Penninsula, etc.), Africa (Egypt, North Africa, Horn of Africa) and Asia (India).

  • I was talking about the Crusades.

  • well they did not specifically invade... but salah-eldin did execute alot of nubian and egyptian priests at that time because they attempted to seek help from the crusaders in europe!!!!!!!

  • really, can you tell me where I might read more about this?

  • Were Syria, Palestine, Egypt and Anatiolia not Christian lands before the conquests of Umar ibn Al-Khattab the Turks etc.

    You're uninformed and talking bullshit.

The crusaders wanted to recover the lands that the muslims seized from Christianity by millitary conquests in the 7th century.

  • Christianity started in Ethiopia, where the first man was made! All that Europeans know, was taught to them....All but incest & global terror infliction....That's in their DNA!

  • christianity is a nubian

religion...catholicism/protestantism/anglicanism etc...are cheap copy's of the true religion...

  • Either way its a barely substantiated story...

  • I belief if the White people see the paintings of some white people here, they will claim Nubia too is white as they want to claim Egypt is.

Or this time it is not something good they want to associate themself with? haha lets see.

  • Incredible, blackhaze!

PLEASE send me a note with a link or something to these documentaries!

  • Nice video I am an Arab who married a black woman

  • lol, so you returned to where you came from ^_^ lol..peace..

  • Nubia has nothing to do with Ethiopia come to Sudan and you will that.

  • Nubia was Nubia, before those Christians came to Dongola ( my home land) and instilled their religon, the moment when Nubia became no Nubia.

  • Ethopia the first christian country in the world 100 year's before ome came christian.

  • the first country to have become christian was syria...which during biblical times was an african country...

  • although there were some who fell under the patriarchates at Rome and Constantinople(byzantine). the Christians under the Patriarch of Alexandria were the Coptic Christians.

  • to ahmed2k7: the christians of africa were not under the roman empire, they were independent. they followed Jesus Christ on their own accord. they still exist. they are called the Coptic christians.

  • Peace and blessing be the follower of the right guidance.i want to make reply to peacechild where he makes historical mistakes in his statement. Muslims pushed the imperalist roman empire who oppressed the people of North Africa. It is clear Muslims never carry out such atrocities and mass murder like those done by the crusade armies when they entered Jerusalem. After 100 yrs later, Saladin came and defeated them but what did he do? You know it well.

  • I think this history narrator forgot to mention a very important fact , he more or less says that muslims reacted against Christian Nubia and ransacked their monastries because of the crusades, NO, the Crusades were a reaction to muslim aggression that was sweeping through Christian lands, the subjected people were crying out for help to Rome , which was then the centre of Christendom, Nubia being Christian would naturally be a target.

  • Ethiopia along with Armenia were the first two christian states. Christianity was in africa before any european country accepted it or before 99 percent of european countries new about it. Christianity in africa is very old. Orthodox christianity....

  • @TheeChronicle egypt was i beleive the first country to adopt christianity in africa...from the 1st century with St. Mark the evangailist ...definently egypt adopted christianity before ethiopia, ethiopia actually gets their bishops from the alexandrian church

  • whats wrong with this picture? Am I the only One that thinks that there is something wrong with the Nubians painting all those white faces? i hate to make this a race issue, but i just cant help it. did the Nubians of that time forget that the sybolism of Christianity were taken from their very own ancient folklores?

  • didn't nubians worship the same gods as the Egyptians? hmmm, they had black faces and bodies didn't they..right,right. but in htat picture, though Mary was light, Jesus was dark some of those other guys were Jesus just saints and angels.

  • yes, the ancient Nubians & Egyptians did worship some of the same gods. and later the Christians had a very similar idea of their god, and the story surrounding him. so why do you think these Nubians abandoned their ancient ways in favor of a Eurocentric interpretation? didn't they know where the idea originated? or does race not matter to them like it does to us Black Americans?

  • @amphotep The only thing Eurocentric about the religion was their depiction of the characters!

  • check out the videos

    "Truth about Religion 1-3"

if you get a chance. you will see what i'm talking about.

  • AFRICA UNITE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great Film!

  • Very interesting! Wait for more!

  • luv it!

  • I DON'T THINK SO.

  • NICE!

  • Yup,every race has its dumb asses.

  • GO TO HECK DUTCH3232

  • its hard for me to look at this video and not render a harsh purely biased opinion on the Crusades and Christianity and what that did to African religions and the African people for thousands of years.

  • Very true

  • Why dont you care about the Europeans that were converted to Christianity?Millions of Europeans were killed and the European religions throughout Europe were converted(I havent heard of one European religion that has survived).Christianity was created in Axium(Africa)I think that you should be more upset that a foreign semitic religion(Islam)tried to take over an African religion,Christianity.

  • Why do you say Christianity started in Nubia.??

In the video it says they took their beliefs from the Byzantine Empire.....

  • I never said that it did I said that Africa was one of first areas to which Christianity spread.

  • @NubianSuperpower Nubia got Christianity from the Queen of Sheba who got it from Solomon. Also Jethro Moses father in law was from Cush and he took teh God of teh Isrealites back to his lands.

  • @tblack79 My bad I mean Jewish Nubians this pre-dates Christianity

  • @Najahface what did the crusaders made in afrika? Nothing because in the time of the first crusade and I think in the second too, great areas of North Afrika wehre christian. For me it's cruel what the muslims did for 1500 years in Afrika. They killed minimum 10 Million black Afrikans.

No im not christian, I' a atheist. Im glad about this viedeo. I search long for somthing like this.

  • @Najahface In the first time of Islamisation in the 6th the Muslims attacked Makuria the first time.

  • Thanks! That was very good. I'm learning much from these videos.

  • keep spread knowledge especially to the young brothers like myself I'm soaking up every bit i can get!

  • Very interesting and nice vid. I look forward to seeing more.

  • Thanks, I have many more coming soon
