I've read a few of the comments for some of Red's songs and I've noticed that a lot of people are bashing on Christianity. So what if someone believes in something that you don't? I'm not a Christian but I don't talk down about it on a video of a Christian band. It's great music and that should be the topic of discussion not belief and religion.

They're christian, but they recently drifted away from that, so although they are still christian in belief, their songs don't reflect it as much as they used to.

At the 1:15 mark I was like "This sounds so like Lights Out by Breaking Benjamin."
Then I looked at the comments and found out that Ben Burnley from the band co-wrote the song.
If Red, Skillet, and Breaking Benjamin combined as one, all other music would be gone forever :D

Okay, I'm just going to put my own opinion out there. Yeah, Red's a Christian band. Yes, this song could easily be interpreted as referring to God or Jesus. But I personally think that you should also listen to the song and interpret it in your OWN way, not how others want you to. I think that's also what a lot of bands aim for nowadays. They don't want to hammer their beliefs in your head, they want you to come up with your own meaning of the song.

Listen up people, they ARE a CHRISTIAN band, and they refer to Christ in their lyrics, I have no idea what "sk8drumorDIE21" is saying...this clearly refers to God..(Jesus)
Nonetheless, this band in general, like Christian or non-Christian is EPIC. The chorus of this song is refering to Christ (again). EPIC SONG EPIC BAND CHRISTIAN BAND! Skillet, Red, allll dayyyy.

when my friend listened ti this song, she said that they were awesome. But right after I told her that they were a christian band, she said she didn't like them anymore. Why? I knew that from the beginning and they're are one of my favourite bands anyway.

No. We have no reason to be mad. :) I have tons of atheist friends. Though we Christians would be quite happy if everyone was Christian, this is not a perfect world, and that won't happen. We love our brothers and sisters, regardless of their race, faith, or nationality. ^_^

At the same time, music has a meaning from the artist and a meaning from everyone else individually and if a secular band can play a song I can directly relate to my faith as well as a Christian band, who cares? I mean we can't put ourselves above others just because were Christians. I can relate some secular songs to my faith like with the song What I've Done by LP.

@Brakzar Because it is religious, sadly enough. Many closed minded people hate something if it's branded as 'Christian'. If it's their need to feel unique or if they care for the physical over spiritual, it matters not to me. I just sit back and enjoy the music, and I live for the God I believe in. oh just get a grip, yeah the lyrics are deep, but they make amazing music. I'm not christian but I love their music - and even though the lyrics have a religious connotation they still apply to morality in society which applies to EVERYONE - not just religious nuts.

I've read a few of the comments for some of Red's songs and I've noticed that a lot of people are bashing on Christianity. So what if someone believes in something that you don't? I'm not a Christian but I don't talk down about it on a video of a Christian band. It's great music and that should be the topic of discussion not belief and religion.
