@halfthrottle i'm sorry do you need a hug? I'm sure Skeefoo will take care of ya since i'm no where close to you lol. Good vid tho cuz it applies to all bikes i did the same thing the same way to upgrade my stock forks on an RM125. Keep it up and keep the vids rollin! as you would say Ride safe. Travel far. Do it soon.
@Bkrayzaythetrollolol On youtube there are creators, and there are commentators. If the creators gave a damn what the commentators said, we would have stopped creating a long time ago. It doesn't bother me when people don't like my videos.
@halfthrottle so true! but you forgot those like me....the trolls! Glad to see someone who knows how to deal with us lol. but for the most part i enjoy ur vids especially the ones of you tearing up a BMW PURE GOLD!!!!!! could you post more on upgrades and repairs plz especially if they're as good as this 1. Keep it up and F*CK THOSE TROLLS! lol
@Bkrayzaythetrollolol Yes I have plenty of experience with trolls. You gave yourself away pretty fast with the caps locks comments. Anytime I need to fix something on my bike I try to film it. Even if I don't have a clue what I'm doing, I figure they still help someone out there.
I've got plenty of vids tearing up the KLR too. More fun tearing up something that's cheaper to fix.
@halfthrottle DAMN i MUST hide better lol well it has been a pleasure talking to ya! Also i have sub'd to ya since u won me over. ride safe so we can see more awesome vids!
@halfthrottle wouldn't miss it! if ur ever around the Houston area hit me up i'd like to meet ya and shake ur hand for being the first to stop my trolling lol
Hey Ryan, Love your videos.. I watch most all. One thing though and I'm not sure how important it is??? I have a 2009 klr that I just did the progressives on and the directions called for the tightly wound end of the new spring to be at the top. Not sure if it's the same for the older Klr's but if so? that may be why the ride has not changed much? Mine is quite a bit stiffer than factory springs and much less dive on braking. Might be something to check in to...
I like Skeefoo, get him more often into your vid as a sidekick. Anyway - very useful tutorial, I'm getting my KLR650 within a few months so I approve.
@cynik45ACP Thank you for the kind words.Yeah,Ryan is a hell of a friend,he took me, my wife 2 of my kids, and one of our many "TIAS" all over to the waterfalls,to the rivers,Volcan,Bouquete,to the animal rescue home,,we rode together, and made a few Videos,we had a blast,Dam,I hope he dont haul ass soon.Peace! "SkeeFoo"
@cynik45ACP HalfThrottle Makes some high quality videos,Its an honor to be invited to do a video with him. cynik45ACP, Or anyone coming this way,If your EVER in Panama, look us up,we can do a ride or something. Peace. "SkeeFoo"
@skeefoopanama For me, being from Poland a trip to Panama is like a trip to the moon, but I sure as hell will remember about you guys if I ever get shipwrecked near your place.
@bakker46 Thanks for noticing!,I thought it was pretty nice for an 03,I got a decent deal on it,Its a work in progress,Im gonna max it out with modifications, but keep it clean,no over doing it.I will personally pick up anyone that wants to come ride with me and Halfthrottle at Tocumen,In Panama, haul bikes where ever, and just basically show someone new to this country the ropes,Its a great place to live!! Peace, "SkeeFoo"
@angelocardoc it looks like there is no stock heat-sync or guard on the header. The tape helps to reduce heat and keep you from grilling your inner thighs.
@angelocardoc We were going to do that to my bike and make a video of it, but we couldn't get the header off. The bolts were so corroded we thought they were going to break, so we didn't mess with it. It keeps the heat in the pipe and away from your leg.
@angelocardoc Thanks for asking!! It has a couple assets,it keeps the heat off your leg,
and helps with heat transfer from pipe back to motor, and you wont believe this, but it seems to gain a slight bit more power,if thats possible,it also seems to quiet down the noise, some how,and I think it looks cool,Peace "SkeeFoo"
@halfthrottle google chrome... it just started a day or two ago... it's like a new player or smth.. i just can't watch videos with that.. this "new" one has the option to adjust the speed.. of the vid...
Does the KLR not have an engine kill switch? I noticed Ron, uh Skeefo, used the key to shut er' down. Wondering if it was a necessity or if Skeefo was just old school :)
Nice work, it always seems like MC manufacturers tune their suspension for like a 110lbf rider, definitely not cutting it for big fat 'muricuns like me.
For future use, you can get a lot cleaner, more precise cut on the spacers with a screw feed style pipe cutter. It won't really hurt anything as it is, no worries. Also if you ever find yourself needing a bit more preload on a bike without preload adjusters, a cheap fix is to make a slightly longer than normal spacer out of pvc pipe.
@halfthrottle I love calling Canadians Americans. They really hate it. But from Chile to Alaska we are all Americans. Its us Rifraf from the states that give it a bad name. What seat was that on Skeefoo's bike? Is it comfy?
@RaceDayPhoto I can't remember what the brand is. It looks really nice, and has more of a ass friendly shape. But to make that shape they can't give it as much cushion. Skeefoo took my bike for a ride and said he's going to put the stock seat back on. He liked the softer padding in the stock seat.
@RaceDayPhoto Thanks for asking,Its a"Corbin" seat. Its not bad,it has a good shape,But I rode HTs KLR,and his seat felt softer,as in more cushion. But its not a torture device at all.
How cool is that? Halfthrottle makes awesome vids.Keep up the good work.HT! Boy,you guys should of seen the sites we did,Beautiful waterfalls, and great places to swim.ect
