Well cool animation but too much censorship it kinda ruined the fight for me, and in general the people that made this anime ruined an anime that could reach one piece and dragonball levels and there are even more problems from censorship.I don't know i would like to see it from the begining and be more like the manga but that would probably not gonna happen.

I'm so sad they nerfed Toriko. I'm surprised they even let him lose his arm in this fight. I thought they'd send it to the Shadow Realm

The amount of damage Toriko took is what made this an amazing fight, he rips bugs out from under his flesh, fights without fingers, punches with no hand.

Toriko is all about the gritty fights and that was taken away from the anime.

If only they kept the same standards as the OVA.

@AutumnKnightmare No it doesn't, it was just a crossover. That happens often between anime. They used the popularity of one piece to show toriko to people so that they can start watching it, and it's a good thing because now i love toriko ^^.

Just after the crossover the real story began. And like i said before before you forget again: IT WAS TO LET PEOPLE KNOW A NEW SHOW WAS STARTING WITH THE HELP OF ONE PIECE'S POPULARITY.

Another thing that was worth to mention is why the hell they have put sencorship? in one piece we see all the blood and gore,but here nothing? i could understand that the producers are not the same as one piece,but what gives with that? its like the forkids shows they have ruin all the fun for us adults! what gives now with japan? they desited its best to see those anime's with no blood! they geting soft i guess.While in the first episode the special we see the blood when he fought croc.

@youtoubakias The blood in this anime at some points is really over the top. Tommy vs Toriko in the manga was extreme. Way more then any One piece fight I've read in the manga. It's good they took out the gore, it will let the show appeal to younger people, so that a generation can get hooked on it like they did with Dragon ball z.

In fact here we see that the hero didn't stand after he delivered the final blow like the most of the anime that the good guy always stand in the end! Its sometning new in a anime like that one.

I love the fights in the show and it does resemble dbz a bit with all the over the top fights and big muscular guys but still its own show in a way. One big difference that I actually appreciated that i consider dragon ball z's biggest flaw would be the pre fight talking and all the flash backs and stare downs that usually took up an episode or more. I think they were trying to build up tension before the fight but maybe it was overdone a bit.
