To play this song properly is my goal. Nick Drake was a genius songwriter and guitarist. Some of his other songs have incredible lyrics, but for guitar playing, it doesn't get better than this track.

A lot of your version flows beautifully, and the rest is so close it matters not (it looks like you overthink at parts). Based on the artists Nick is reported to have been fond of, I think it's fair to say he would have smiled at this video. You do it justice, which is a tough ask.

Julie I know how you feel Drained from this song and other Nick Drake songs...it is so much dwelling in the Darkside that you can get affected from it, for example i almost stopped listening to Nick because its very dark and i found that it really effected me after a while of listening to him a lot...don't get me wrong, he's one of my favorites but he can be very 'heavy' on ya...you did a Great version of this song, that is a VERY fine guitar you have..old guild i presume...

Great to see YOU! I think I spent a full year trying to learn his songs and reached the breaking point with this. I only discovered him a few years ago but I went on a journey of discovery; music and whatever documentaries I could find. I wish I could say I don't dwell in the Darkside but I tend to be on the broody side :) My Guild - I bought brand new in 1976 and it just gets better.

Relax and enjoy. Get inside of it and feel it when it's there. Walk away when it isn't. I can relate to your frustration. I played a different instrument but this probably applies to any instrument...anyway FWIW usually when I was most frustrated was the time I was actually learning and getting past a plateau. Just my 2 cents :) You sound good by the way.

you said that this song drained you, well in my opinion Nick Drake is one of the best players and songwriters but mostly he sure is gloomy and depressive and i found myself getting effected by the songs if i hear a bunch of them in one time...spooky but true...
