Man, they stopped putting engine cover in these. If your not going to put one in, at least make the wires and pipes colored or add a sign showing it's a 2.5l i4 OR just make the engine compartment more neat, cause it's a mess under the hood.
tC doesn't come with limited slip diff, weighs more, fuel economy is about the same, premium sound not standard, fog lamps not standard blue tooth is an option list can continue but I don't wanna type it all LOL.. So ya you pay more for the Si but you get a lot more for the money... Plus whats $3k more any way the price goes down if rebates and incentives are available.

Lot better than civic si with the price included. civic si costs about 23,000 201 HP & 170 torque. TC 19,000 180 HP and 173 torque! DaMN@!! the interior is better so is the exterior! Very good car! :) BTW, The wheels are SIKK!
Sorry Folks 2012 Civic Si is way better and produces 201hp more than the new TC and a better car all round. 2013/2014 model year will be even better according to Honda.. The TC is an ok car along with the Kia Koup But Honda takes it all the way..

I own a Silver 011 Tc man this car is worth it the money...when used in manual it flys so light...i beat my uncle celica gts with mods by a fender...oh yeah this car is roomy every1 who gets in is suprised in front and back seats
the civic and tc are both great cars, the tc is an all looks car with some power but the civic has better handling, better reliability and a better resale value.
civic is more reliable, better resale value, and handles more like a sport car, the benefits of the tc over the civic are more features such as the stereo system and panoramic sunroof and large rear seat. The only reason someone would wanna prchase this over a civic is because of looks, features and/or rear passenger room.
This is clearly a billion times better in almost everyway vs the new Civic. The new tC has way better styling than the civic coupe. HP gain is 19 which is way better than what Honda got in their new Si, a whopping 4 extra HP. tC is the drivers alternative to civic coupe. Great job Toyota!!

Agreed. Don't get me wrong. I like both brands and the regular civic is great car for it's class. People have to leverage the Si version to be better than the tC and in some cases yes, but at a $3k-4k price premium. This doesn't mean one or the other is a crap car. Both are great cars but like you said, the tC offers a great alternative and choice is great for the consumers.
8 speakers with 300 watts? lol my civic si (08) has 7 speakers with 350 watts, the rear 1/4 window doesnt look good, niether do the taillights, however the hatch is good. it looks better than the older 1 in the front but the rear on the other 1 looks better either way i wont be seeing the rear as i pass them haha
The original Scion lineup was tremendous. It went downhill since because of the want of a wider customer range. At least the new tC looks fairly good.
The TC price has climbed into the civic si range. The TC seems to be for people not intereated at all in performance, but in loud stereos and huge wheels.

Scion accounts for a good chunk of Toyota's youth buyers. Brands buying themselves out from under other groups is nothing new. Around 2000, Rover and MG bought themselves out from under BMW.
