@theracemixer US reality law is based on UK reality law, and nothing can give one a free and clear title to anything that is within the boundaries of any nation. They can play legal, word games all that want to placate the people and make 'em think they have something. If you can't carry it away, you don't "own" it. I realize that is simplistic, but it remains the truth.

On the word "mortgage" means
mort meaning death
gage meaning pledge
Put the two words together pledge to pay until death.
As to UK one can not own a land even if you pay for the house in full you can not own the land. It belong to the Queen (head of state)
