you know this game as an MMO was good for about the first 35 or so levels, but past then it was just grind all the way up to level 80. By the time I was level 40 the only thing I really liked was the music and the good graphics

Having read the short stories of Conan by Robert E Howard many years before, this game was the answer to my prayers. The music is definitely one thing they got right, might go back to the game. Conan was a let down.

No, no..you misunderstood. Actually it's my fault I didn't specify what I meant when I said epic. Epic music has a lot a brass, a crescendo, and is usually fast paced. Tortage has a more ambient atmosphere and in that regard doesn't fall into the epic category.

Well epic to me personally is something memorable, it's one of those tunes I'll remember years from now and I'll probably forget where it's from. I remember when I first started aoc and I was at tortage beach for some reason I was like "wow" when the music start playing. From 1:30 up sounds epic to me, I like it alot lol. Do you have a favorite piece from the game?

I think tortage it the most memorable for me as well. It takes a while for music to make any significant impact on me. In AOC's case it took a while before the music became a worthwile listen. While tortage is no doubt the best my most memorable experience was the Eg mountains. Not the music, just the location. AOC might have been my worst MMO experience, but there is always something to look back on and appreciate.

I wholeheartedly agree about the community, though moving from a PvP to a PvE server made all the difference. A lot of elitists for the most part.
