the problem is alot of people read the book then watch the film and are let down because they compare it with the book. The fact is this movie was excellently made and is one of the greatest movies i have seen.

yes. It's really not good to expect a movie and book to be the same, not only is it impossible, but if it was possible, what's the point of making the movie?? A movie should be a vision of the story, a reflection. If you do want to be true to the book, a filmmaker must be true to the spirit of the book, not the letter. I think both book and film are great!

It is called Down by the Sally Gardens, although it is more typically sung than played instrumentally. I strongly recommend the version done by Maura O'Connell for BBC's transatlantic sessions as it is most excellent.
