I thought liberals are supposed to be the voice for the oppressed and those not being treated with dignity? Human babies have no voice and are being oppressed every day. Unfortunate truth is that "opposite" ends of this political spectrum don't exist. It's a circle, and extremists on both sides wind up circling to the same, nutty area.
Oddly enough, though, extreme rightists are a little easier to stomach than these people. Probably because it's easier to find a liberal in TX than a conservative in SF.
Ain't that a bitch? In such a "diverse" and "accepting" city, too. :(

true, true. thats the south for the most part because the majority of us don't live in huge cities like San Francisco. there are some metroplexes though. But still no people like that around here. prob. cause of our famous southern hospitality, we're more accepting. :D

People in the south are definitely more accepting. There's one vital quality that the south has and SF doesn't, humility. People of more humble dispositions tend to be a little more passive with social troubles that can arise. Sometimes that can be a bad thing, but nowhere as bad as people blowing them way out of proportion, in pretentious ways, like they do here.
The majority of Liberals vilify conservatives, and conservatives don't seem to care or mind. That's the distinction; a big one.

thats true, but i think that if anybody that acts like this would ask people that don't that would tone them down, make them more accepting than they are about other view points, and provide the humility that would humble them. however they must see how they act threw others eyes before this is possible.
Liberals strive for change, while conservitives strive to keep things the way they are, unfortunatly some people will express their different viewpoints in ways like this.
