Rafael Mendez a true legend. His talent got recognized by the General Pancho Villa. In which later Mendez would be part of the Pancho Villa Orquestra. Truly Amazing!

My teacher was taught by Mendez, and Mendez told him that his son was a better player than himself. I'm not sure which one. They are now both top urologists.

Both Mendez sons became transplant surgeons in Los Angles (they operated on my sister and me).

Robert Mendez was an emergency Dr. on duty in LA the night that Robert Kennedy was shot at the Ambassador Hotel. There is a great letter in his office from Ethel Kennedy commending him for doing such a great job in trying to save Kennedy's life.
