  • By the looks of it i would say that he blew a the right or left rear tire, which caused him to immediately lose traction on the rear end. He was propably shaken pretty good in those barrel roll flips, so he wanted to make sure that he was out of harms way, that's why he jumped behind the guard rail so quickly.

    and it's possible for the car to catch fire from the fuel leak, and there is risk that other cars will crash at him.. so it's reasonable safety precaution to jump off :) i hope i'm right!

    in such a situation you aren't interested in "oh what happened!" you just think about "I have to get away". Perhaps he thought that his car is lying on the track and just wanted himself to rescue.

  • He still had so much momentum from the rolls, when he got opened the seatbelt, he just kept on flipping. Yes, that's how it happened.

  • Rear-left puncture by the look of it. The tyre deflates and shreds very quickly, you can hear the canvas smacking against the bodywork. Nasty crash.

  • i think is the rear-RIGHT puncture...think about it,if is the left weel the car must go directly on the left for the phisic laws,the car gose slowly with the rear on the outside of the corner...

  • Perhaps, but I think it's unlikely the rear right would have delaminated in a high speed right-hander. The load is on the left rear, after all. But maybe you're right.

  • It did look like suspension failure but it could have been the base of the rear wing collapsing and puncturing the tyre

    Also thats why i think it should be a grass run off everywhere because on gravel it's common to (sometimes fatally) flip.

  • That looks like rear wing or suspension failure to me, you can see pieces falling off the car as it steps out.
