@darling67 Don't you know it! Well, I guess Michael Jackson's family inherited the Beatles songs & still want to make money off of them, just like they're doing with Michael. The Beatles are my favorite band of all time. Saw them when I was 8 on Ed Sullivan Show & saw them in concert at age 11. My parent's were huge fans. The day after they appeared on Ed's show, Mom went out & bought us Meet the Beatles. And we twisted our guts out all day. Loved em til the bitter end!

Add a 30 second commercial or something! Every day it seems like at least one of my favorites are deleted! They deleted 20 Beatles songs in 1 day! But I found other versions. Hope they don't get deleted!

Those who weren't around in the '70s don't realise that - like Queen and Abba - he was rubbished by the UK music press at the time (apart from Chris Welch) and considered uncool by virtually all musicians - how wrong they all were. When they look back now they all claim they loved him...no they did not!!

Agreed. I was there and I saw it. Marc was consigned to the weekly girie mag, Jackie, while the likes of Yes were featured in the NME - who were the real shammers - Rick Wakeman kids everyone to this day that he's a musician. I was even accused of being gay by mu school-mates for liking T-Rex until this was releasedm after which, they all got onto the bandwagon.

The press favoured certain groups and were terrible to the groups that they did not like. It was really frustrating for the bands that deserved the credit, but they can say that they made their fame without the press--their talent led them into fame, not the media.
