The Big 3 has brought back the Muscle. I want 1 of each model parked on my drive way (even just to look at it when idling).

Sure he knew lot's about the car, but if a driver like Jan Magnussen drove is (driver for Corvette Racing) he could really slice up that track.

People should give it all the credit it deserves as it set a new record around the Nurburgring at 7:26. However, the new GT-R is just still the base model and according to statistics its done a 7:25 already in testing and they said they are aiming to knock of 10 seconds of the original record time of 7:29, which puts it at 7:19.
The time set with the ZR1 at the ring was done with a head wind on the strait. The driver estimates he could have bettered his time by 2 seconds just by imporving his driving and no telling how much more without the head wind.
I'll believe a 7:19 when I see it. Sounds like a crazy dream to me.

You're a putz. Do you know how easily the ZR-1 will be able to swap supercharger pulleys, and re-tune to 800HP? The weight balance in the Z06 was 50/50. The ZR-1 i believe is a 52/48. Still very very good. It's (ZR-1)straightline and all out acceleration performance is far superior to the GT-R. The Nissan doesn't have a chance. Although, the GT-R still is a way sweet car and I would love to have one.

I agree. Corvette's are the most underrated cars, you can go out, but a used C6 Z06 for 65 or 70k, and with that you get 198mph, good handling, and overall a supercar that you can get groceries in. The ZR1 is KING!!!

there exactly the same in the 0-60 .3 difference in the 1/4 and 15mph dif top speed, that to me hardly seems worth the extra money. at least going off GMs quotes after mark ups on both cars were looking at 40k to 50k difference

the msrp for the gtr is 70k, you can very highly expect the price at the dealership to be 40 or 50k higher than that. just the same as when the new gt500 came out... the msrp was like 60k but they were selling for over 100k at the dealership. guaranteed you will not find a gtr for 70k.

It is simply the demand for the GTR's as with the GT-40 and the STI. People were willing to pay over the MSRP just to get their hands on one. So the dealerships sold them for more than the MSRP.
theres gonna be a even higher mark up on the ZR1 then on the GTR since there not making many of them around 2000 to be exact, so you can expect the GTR with a price tag around 80k-90k and the ZR1 with a price tag with close to 150k thats about 40k to 60k for probably .3 higher on the 1/4 and a 15mph higher top speed
yeah...expect it to be about 150k... The shelby GT500 had a price tag of 48K, and I watched a guy, while I was buying my Dually, pay about 78k for it... $30k markup on a shelby GT500... imagine on a 2000 limited run of the ZR1

225 might be a bit high. it makes its power thru a supercharger roots type, meaning that its not a top speed car, but made for aceleration, it'll probably fall flat after a few grand RPM.

6th gear is much shorter than the Z06, and first gear is taller (64 mph i think) to compensate for traction. still, it will do over 200 easy.

You're a putz. Do you know how easily the ZR-1 will be able to swap supercharger pulleys, and re-tune to 800HP? The weight balance in the Z06 was 50/50. The ZR-1 i believe is a 52/48. Still very very good. It's (ZR-1)straightline and all out acceleration performance is far superior to the GT-R. The Nissan doesn't have a chance. Although, the GT-R still is a way sweet car and I would love to have one.

Dude, the trim line of a car is balanced by that of fair status. Nissan GTR vs. Chevorlet ZO6. Who wins in the end, the Nissan GTR. More technology, but Chevorlet has history so props for that, but every where you turn. There is going to be a Chevy in every corner. A race track has corners you see, and you have to use your brakes and steer and then get back on the accelerator then brake and steer etc. So you don't say a car is great because it has low figures for a specific length of tarmac.You put it on the NURBURGRING (for example)then you see what the stopwatch says when it crosses the line. this car has a 6.2 litter engine its smaller than the 08 z06 but the all carbon fiber frame and aluminum engine it get about 100 horse power per litter. 620 horses fastest vet yet

Read alot of comments on this car and the r35. I think the one thing everyone who's posted on these two cars (zr1 and r35) can agree on is that ferrari, and lamborgini suddenly need a reason to explian why they are charging in excess of 200000 for their products. Props to any car company that's making affordable supercars

I agree. Corvette's are the most underrated cars, you can go out, but a used C6 Z06 for 65 or 70k, and with that you get 198mph, good handling, and overall a supercar that you can get groceries in. The ZR1 is KING!!!

there exactly the same in the 0-60 .3 difference in the 1/4 and 15mph dif top speed, that to me hardly seems worth the extra money. at least going off GMs quotes after mark ups on both cars were looking at 40k to 50k difference

the msrp for the gtr is 70k, you can very highly expect the price at the dealership to be 40 or 50k higher than that. just the same as when the new gt500 came out... the msrp was like 60k but they were selling for over 100k at the dealership. guaranteed you will not find a gtr for 70k.
The Z06 already posted a time comparable to the GT-R on the ring, the ZR1 will.... >:)

It is simply the demand for the GTR's as with the GT-40 and the STI. People were willing to pay over the MSRP just to get their hands on one. So the dealerships sold them for more than the MSRP.

theres gonna be a even higher mark up on the ZR1 then on the GTR since there not making many of them around 2000 to be exact, so you can expect the GTR with a price tag around 80k-90k and the ZR1 with a price tag with close to 150k thats about 40k to 60k for probably .3 higher on the 1/4 and a 15mph higher top speed

yeah...expect it to be about 150k... The shelby GT500 had a price tag of 48K, and I watched a guy, while I was buying my Dually, pay about 78k for it... $30k markup on a shelby GT500... imagine on a 2000 limited run of the ZR1

225 might be a bit high. it makes its power thru a supercharger roots type, meaning that its not a top speed car, but made for aceleration, it'll probably fall flat after a few grand RPM.
