  • Japanese commentary is hilarious, not trying to be racist.

  • Insane move and the commentary just elevates it even further!

  • @AquilaSever Yeah I agree " Taigeru doraiba kyuujuu ichi" Sounds pretty awesome^^

  • So is the move a botch or is it actually supposed to be like that? From what I've read in the description, it was a botch the first time and intended every time after that?

  • Legend has it that the first use was a botch, which was then turned into a sort of big match finisher(he wouldn't use it again for three and a half years).

  • @TheSuicidalDragon Well it's certainly effective nonetheless =p Looks sickening...love it!

  • @TheSuicidalDragon

I highly doubt it was a botch, considering he didn't land in a sit out position. Secondly, he used the move twice in '91, once against Kobashi.

  • i love how excited the announcers get, japanese wrestling is where its at

  • タイガードライバー’91!!この技を考案した三沢もすごいが、小橋、川田など、’91を受けきるレスラーもすごい。よく怪我しないなと思う。

  • nice video

  • It's the year Misawa first used it.

  • Sooooo dangerous!

  • did i really just see Ryo Saito get it as well? :S

  • Haha. The last one, in the announcer's screams, makes it seem that much more lethal. Which I won't be surprised if it actually is. Damn. ._.

  • TIGA DORAIBA KYUJUUICHI!!!!!

  • What A move And What a wrestler. A Travesty He's no Longer here... Cheers SD.

    RIP Misawa-San

  • I think Misawa did invent the move. Did he not?

  • Jaguar Yokota did, actually.

  • You win again Suicidal Dragon. Well done.

  • @ThePerfectOne95 tiger driver was around since 87 thats the earliest ive seen it

  • this is so lame...why doesnt he know how to do the pedigree correctly?

    god i love trolling.

  • Because he was NOT doing a Pedigree...

  • @lonewolfsuarez

Dude, he said he was trolling IN THE SAME COMMENT. Are you retarded? No offense, but generally when someone says they're trolling it means they're trolling, and you definitely just fell for it.

  • i know who hated this move...kenta kobashi he got hit with it more than anybody else damn

  • the original and the final were just .. *shiver*

  • 1:02 is the best one!

  • I actually think Kojima took it the worse in this vid.....ROFL, serves that punk right.

  • At least that who I thought it was...

  • Burning Hammer looks cooler from a presentation standpoint, but the TD91 required a lot more control and strength to keep it from really breaking the opponent's neck.

  • I can't beleive he's gone :(

Well at least he died doing the thing he loved best!

    R.I.P Misawa!!!!!

  • Shit, you just can hear necks snapping... O_o

  • That last one is still absolutely brutal.

  • Now I'm really convinced that the Tiger Driver '91 is much more deadly than the Burning Hammer, but either way, I wouldn't wanna take either move, cause I'd die anyway.

  • haha

  • last one looked sick

  • R.I.P Misawa

  • What a devastating move!

  • so was this a botch move as well?

maybe SD could do a list of awesome moves that came around as a result of botches?

  • Is it just me are were all but three of these done on Kenta Kobashi?

  • All but four, actually.

  • I'm quite surprised Jun Akiyama has yet to take this move, quite honestly. :X

  • He never took the move...such a shame.

  • @TheSuicidalDragon To be fair, Misawa took his fair share (four?) of Kobashi's Burning Hammers.

  • Tiger Driver '91...one of the most, if not THE most dangerous move I've seen from puroresu (I'll put it even ahead of the Burning Hammer).

  • and i will agree with you

  • Why, exactly, would you put it ahead of the Burning Hammer? That's just being a little too dramatic in my opinion.

The TD '91 is definately dangerous, but take into account the height of the fall, and the direction the body is falling. It's not nearly as dangerous as the Burning Hammer.

  • after watchin that last TD i think he might be right

  • Yes, the Burning Hammer, does have some devastating effects, but I just feel the TD '91 more of a devastating move you know.

  • Love this move, so brutal, the first one is the best example of the sheer awesomeness of this move.

  • OUCh @ The first One 0:04 :O

  • The last one is just insane. I've seen that clip god knows how many times and it still makes me cringe.

btw, if not Misawa, who did invent the move then?

  • Jaguar Yokota

  • Interesting. I knew she did a kneeling TD with the victim held tight against her (sorta tombstone like), but I hadn't realised she did this as well. Still, shouldn't be suprised. She's one of the most inventive wrestlers ever :)

  • @TheSuicidalDragon Is there any footage of that?

  • Comment removed

  • the first on is awful

  • You got to love the reactions from the Japanese commentators: "TIAGAH DRIVAH JYUU KYUU ICHII!!"

  • Japanese wrestlers train themselves and do neck exercises to make their necks strong to take the worst and the move is awsome

  • Another classic SD! 5 stars

  • So the 91' would be a sheerdrop move or a head drop move? And you know the match at :16 was a great match because one of the announcer was losing his voice.

  • Sheerdrop

  • looks like Kobashi got the worst of that move lol!

  • well, considering Misawa was the favourite target of Kobashi`s Burning hammer, it only seems fair, no?

  • jajaja good point
