  • look at her flirtin lol :P

  • Wow Dara, I had KNOW IDEA that you were 45.... ive been watching you and figured that you were 35 tops........ you are defo sexiest raw vegan woman!

  • Is that Dara from the life regenerator vids? Is she like the juice chef groupie? Hubba Hubba.

  • So Pennie did you get a date? Damn, that guy is massively cute! The accent, of course (to an American) really helps. I'm in my 40's and only recently started having strange attacks of hives (and overweight), so this movie really hit home. But I'd still love a date! :-)

  • I have never heard of Joe Cross or "fat, sick & nearly dead" and I live in Australia. Joe? where the bloody hell are ya??? LOL. YES I just had to put that in.

I LOVE this interview. I am so excited about starting my re-boot, but I have so much reading & watching vids from you Dara AND now I have another person to follow - JOE. Thanx guys!!! Greetings from Marina in OZ

  • Okay, I won't even say it.

  • I always thought Joe was so hot, but I found myself staring at Dara. Shes breath-takingly beautiful. Good interview

  • I so loved "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead"...its a awesome story and Film...

  • great interview! terrific to hear more from joe--his movie turned me onto green juice, and from there i wandered into raw through dan the man. like joe, i too, have chronic urticaria hives. raw and juices are my new 'pills' and work so much better

  • leukemia comes from cows milk that's why mostly children have leukemia . the cows have leukemia and when the cow is milked its in the milk . when a child drinks the leukemia infested milk every day in and day out the child gets it. their was a study by harvard on monkeys drinking cows milk with leukemia . they all dies in like 6 months from leukemia.

  • In my experience I think day 3 is the day where it gets hard or the day where I would stop

  • the people this man has inspired turn around and do the same thing...he's started a very good thing. Awareness is definitely up

  • Dara, thank you ! I watched the movie right after your interview and am inspired to do the juice fast too. I'm a raw vegan (member RFR) my life style is a little too radical for many friends and family that could really use it but a reboot seems possible for many and not a fad diet. Thank you again for this very enlightening share.

  • that was so awesome dara and joe thank you!!

  • This is quite a bit of a kawinkeedink,My oldest son text me last week and told me to he had just watched a movie and it really helped these 2 guys & he wanted the same for me. ( I'm sick too ) He told me the name of the movie and it was this one. I watched it that night on netflix and called him & told him I had been thinking about doing the whole raw thing for awhile now & I even told him about your channel as I have been watching it a lot. Well Now here Joe is on your channel. More Signs LoL

  • What an inspiration.

  • The only comment I would make really is that when Joe mentions about 4 yr old's with leukemia..well, my view is that one theory could be that it is the vaccinations the kids have that could have caused it..or the milk? Or yes Joe, even the diet!! Show me a 4 yr old that has been brought up on a raw, vegan diet, had no jabs and has had a wonderfully healthy upbringing WITH leukemia, then it could be genetic, other than that there is near enough ALWAYS a reason, not just "the cards dealt"

  • For whatever reason they don't sell that DVD in Canada but you can download it on torrent sites.

  • great interview dara! love joe, just seems like a genuinely nice guy!

  • Wow...his energy is like a steamroller! You did a great job of holding your own!

  • Joe Cross inspired me to make big changes! I cant wait to start my juice fast :D

  • Just Amazing!!! U both r so helpful with your information and support.Love u guys both :D

  • joe cross is dope

  • Great video!

  • Saw the movie and it is what motivated me to start juicing and I'm loving it! They become actually quite addicting!

  • Excellent!

  • Joe where can we see you city schedule when you feature the movie in the future across the U.S.A.? Will it premere in Los Angeles or any other CA cities?

    Thanks,

    Mike

  • I wish there were a love button and not just a like button! :)

  • @ConquerersSpirit

    so sweet. :)

  • Joe saved my life! I just finished a 30 day juice fast and feel great and thing 1000 times better. You can watch my status on my channel if you like.

  • @jtwebman congrats on your weight loss! You look great keep up the great work. I am looking foward to going all in on my juice fast

  • @jayem2387 It is so worth it but not easy :)

  • The guy is the real deal ! Very inspirational, loved the movie ! Finished a 40 day reboot and now on to a juice fast. Did a juice fast in the 70's for 10 days to heal arthritis with great results, but now know I need to go longer. Finding it hard to fast again, but now have lots of inspiration online thanks to Joe and others. Thanks for sharing the interview.

  • @pitaats2

    awesome!!! :)

  • @pitaats2 I'm just 36 yrs old and I've been suffering from knee pain for over 5 months, I just did the 10 day juicing but I have changed my diet since then... let me tell you, I'm able to run 13 miles a week on the treadmill, whenever I try meat again... i can feel the pain coming back, so i think eventually i'll go vegetarian or vegan (i have white meat only once a week)

  • @rociodempsey1 Good for you ! I was 25 when fell skiing and began some arthritic. disease process. Allopathic drs wanted to start gold shots, steroids, and other destructive drugs. Am an RN and at time knew nothing of nutrition as it was barely touched on in nursing school- few physicians have any nutrition classes in med school. I knew there had to be a better answer and started studying nutrition. Now 65, retired, still walking and taking no meds-though some pain . Follow your instincts !!!

  • @pitaats2 What is a reboot? is that diffrent from the fast?

  • Well done Dara, great interview! : ) We are on day 87 of our juice feast!

  • @BeYourPotential

thank you! wow 87!!!! crazy cool! :)

  • @juliestreet91 Thank you for that. I'm just still trying to make sense of it all really, fighting food demons and yes you're right, trying to accept the moment and then move on from it hopefully will prevent further episodes. Many wishes to you. :D

  • @voodooempress

we all have them to some extent.

i move furniture, clean or read. take a bath, go for a walk

or eat the lesser of evils. :)

    make a cup of tea.

  • He looks like a very wise man :)

  • But I am curious to how people can revert from bad eating habits and never fall back to those ways whilst juicing. I juiced for ten days having been eating mostly raw but the binges have raised their head. After years of living this way how do I leave that behind? I pick myself up and start again, but how do we change habits of a life time when they keep tapping you on your shoulder when you're trying to get healthier and change what we eat?

  • @voodooempress I think most people go through those cravings, and sometimes you end up with the binges, including myself. Then we fight our way back on the raw foods, but these ups and downs can make life very turbulent. Personally I've discovered, that a good way to deal with these cravings, is that when that thought appears in the mind, you stay present and aware and you just look, you just observe the thought and you accept it. After a while you might experince, that you stop reacting to it

  • What an enjoyable, informative video. I've seen the film although it's not as yet available in the UK. I'm sure at some point Joe will shimmy on over to the UK as we have as much of an issue with weight and bad eating here as in most western countries. I love the way he explains how he continues to have what he wants on the odd special occasions, choosing carefully when to eat certain foods.

  • Dara, I just LOVE Joe Cross and his message. So very cool that you had the chance to interview him and share it with us!

  • @susiemouse

i know, me too! this was so very cool, thanks to Penni Shelton at raw food rehab! :)

  • Oh and yes I've been collecting data on how best to break the 60 day juice fast. I will start with the soaked prunes I suppose and continue to juice for up to 8 days while incorporating juicy fruits then salads, etc. Unless I find a better route :)

  • This is what is on many websites that saleone style of the Breville Juicers.,.OUT OF STOCK through the manufacturer until October 2011, due to high demand from the "Fat Sick and Nearly Dead" video. Orders will be fulfilled as stock becomes available.

  • @LynnCSRawRawRaw

it really did feel straight from the horses mouth.

he tells it like it is. i like that.

  • @ChristinaHappyGirl

    TOTAL inspiration. he rocks! :)

  • Sound quality is fine (a positive) I just needed to turn up my speakers a bit (not so bad) Next time you will do better. We learn as we grow. Dara , this is an awesome interview and am now sharing everywhere socially I can.

    Namaste

  • @wjameswright

thank you. i am a bit bummed about it. but sooo very happy with the content

and the fact that he was available and willing to share with us.

i hope more wonderful interviews to come! thank you for your kindness. :)

  • You gave away too much about the info!!!

  • "Change equals opportunity..." Great Saying!

  • @sandyabernathy

take a bad situation and turn it into the best! :)

  • It would be great if Joe Cross had a YouTube channel or something ongoing that can keep us motivated. I saw the movie again yesterday and would like to start a juice fast over the long weekend. It would have to be on days off, since the detox symptoms (I've tried) are too brutal for work. Hopefully they wouldn't last more than three days.

  • @reducefat i thought i was the only one not hearing well but the volume is too low it was heard hearing them.Dara pliz mk sure the volume is up

  • I looooove this interview so much !!

  • thanks to joe i am now juicing. i've watched f,s & n, d over and over. thanks

  • @soberpaco

    :)

  • sound quality?

  • @sealove954

i know. i know. better next time.

  • Two thumbs up!

  • @basilsunshine

    thank you!

  • is there any way to increase the volume on this video? it is simply wonderful! thank you!

  • @reducebodyfat

    no bummer.

    oh well. next time better.

  • I started a juice fast and thought I would like to go to 90 days but who am I kidding. I'll be lucky to hit 30. Then a few weeks into my fast, I saw Joe's film Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead. And it inspired me to keep going. I'll be breaking my 60 day raw juice fast this Sunday! I could go on, but this is good for a first try.

  • @marjorielard

wow. this is sooo impressive! most i have done is 40. you must feel wonderful!

    how will you break it?

philip Mcluskey and Joe Best are talking about healthy ways to break. i am sure you have

    thought this out. :)

  • @daradubinet I will check out those guys out thanks Dara! Yes I feel fantastic! Who knew you could survive on just raw organic fruits/veg juice? Actually, I have to give initial credit to Mathew Armstrong and his partner Victoria Whitehead. They are currently on a 90 day juice feast one month ahead of me. They got me started. Plus the Light from Dan McDonald and YOU! We're all in this together. I'm down 32.2 lbs FTW!!!

  • I saw the movie and met Joe in Princeton, NJ at a movie showing. Awesome. Great interview Dara. Go out and see the movie people!

  • oh dara thank you! this was WONDERFUL!!!!!

    you just made my thursday!

    :)

    kat

  • Fantastic!

  • He is so engaging and interesting. I could listen to him all day! Uhhh...I think you might have a date for Super Bowl Sunday! :)

  • Thank you Dara, love anthing that inspires us to be better in every or any way.

  • I love the movie. I can't imagine anyone who needs reduce weight or is sick watching it and not making some kind of change. He truly inspired me, and so do you:-)

  • he's got such a warm personality. very genuine. great job, Dara!

  • 4 year old kid with what? Although there are obviously some genetic defects that cannot be reversed by diet, don't be too quick to say that children born with disease or young children with diseases have nothing to do with diet.

The diet of both the mother and father preconception, the mother prenatal, the mother while nursing and then what the parents feed the baby after nursing are critical in a child's DNA structure and health and can either cause or resolve diseases.

  • @thewaterfalloflove I agree. Years ago we had a friend who's son was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 5. His diet was awful. He ate fast food daily. Daily. Tons of sweets. They let him eat whatever he wanted essentially. I couldn't help but think his diet was a big factor. :(

  • @Lifechanging1973, once I met a date for breakfast at IHOP and she brought her son who was four. He must have weighed a hundred pounds. People were staring at him and saying, "There's a future football player." I felt bad for him thinking he had some genetic problem. As we sat waiting for our breakfast he proceeded to open and drink all the half & half creams. I said to his mom, "should he be doing that?" She said, "Oh he loves those." - extreme example, but you get the point.

  • @thewaterfalloflove I think we see eye to on that and other things after visiting your page. :)

  • @thewaterfalloflove

    oh no....

  • @daradubinet, when I see someone overweight I see a victim of parental neglect in most cases. It's unfortunate, but part of parenting is protecting your children, not poisoning them or setting them up for failure (in the sense of poor health and social stigmatism). Feeding children junk food is the same as poisoning your child. Healthy eating should be higher on parental priorities.

We all need to not make excuses and take control of our lives wherever we are today and whatever our past.

  • @thewaterfalloflove

i feel like it is abuse.

ignorant and illiterate perhaps. but abuse nonetheless.

if we can keep educating...that is what i am up to in my own way..

it seems to be catching on. the more the better. and not fast enough.

  • @thewaterfalloflove

i am going to ask Joe next time if he is aware of the things you mention. i know that

this is true. i imagine he does too. maybe. not sure. hmmm... always thoughtful you are.

  • @daradubinet, well I couldn't hear what Joe said. I imagine he referred to some kind of birth defect that maybe has nothing to do with food - at least in the sense that it can't be corrected by diet even if it was caused by poor diet of the parents.

I think Joe is awesome. That documentary has helped friends of mine that wouldn't listen to me. Something about it connects to people. I also like that Joe worked in the stock market. I used to be a day trader but he was a floor trader I think.

  • @thewaterfalloflove

that is what it sounded like to me. the kind of illness not food related.

what you were referring to sounds awful. poor little child.

  • what a great guy....wonderful interview...well, is he available? You two would make a great couple, Dara!!!

    Carolyn

  • Love it! You always make the best videos..

  • That was great can't wait to see the movie. You are such a inspiration.

The problem I most often have is that I can never seem to get that full feeling. If I do it only seems to last for an hour or so. What food will give you that full feeling and last long enough so that you can do physical activity without starving shortly after beginning.

  • what a great interview Dara ,thank you so much :)

  • Great video, great movie. Thanks

  • When i feel the urge to binge, i snack on dates and pecans. At least they're natural.

  • Amazing story and work that Joe is doing and as he said, he continue to do.

    Bravo !!

Thank you for your interview, Dara, you do those very well. Much love to you.

  • wow i had no idea his last name was cross like mine. good interview. the hives part was interesting since...ive had hives like things since my 10 day waterfeast. i have hopes they will go away. thanks for this interview. waves~~~

  • @crosspecans

    :)

    the hives will go...

    keep it up. waves....

  • Fantastic interview!!! <3 <3 <3 this!!!! What an inspiration and example you both are!!! Thank you!

  • AWESOME!!! FANTASTIC INTERVIEW, DARA!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! :) Love, Peace

    God bless

  • @luis04191 THANK YOU! GOD BLESS. :)

  • With this shift that's happening, makes you wonder if the Standard American Diet will no longer be SAD.

  • @RegenerationFood

that is where we are headed. with just that attitude!

    :)

  • Great interview Dara! thank you for sharing it with us ^_^

  • That rocked ! thanks Dara and Penny

  • @Rocksinga

    yes, thanks Penni! :)

  • Awesome interview!! I watched his film last week while recovering from my wisdom teeth and it was amazing. My Dad who has type 2 diabetes even sat down to watch the last half and was really interested in what juicing is. That made me really happy.

  • Great Interview Dara!!! Thanks for sharing!!

  • You have so many talents. I'm glad sharing is one of them. : )

  • @darealdjnutz

    thank you!
