@markat425 - it's a challenge to read the gauges while driving, in fact I can see them better watching the helmet cam after driving it, lol! Digitron reprogrammed this gauge for use on this kart, top 2 read cylinder head temp, bottom 2 read rpm (left & right engines). The left engine rpm reading has to be multiplied 10X, it is normally used for jackshaft rpm on a Jr Dragster. The gauge was getting flaky at higher rpm, electrical interference between tach leads ..have to sort that out still.
@gokartmaster123 .... Methanol is the base fuel, a lubricant is added (castor oil is preferred by most) ... then at your own risk, you can venture into adding other potent things like Nitro. It's really hard to add any huge percentage of Nitro to a high performance kart engine ... they can only deal with so much heat ...
@gokartmaster123 ... yes, this is it, only a modern 250 SuperKart has more power (but those are intended for racing on large road racing courses, not tight Sprint Kart tracks). NCMP is one of the bigger Sprint Tracks in the US, these laps are on the 1.0 mile course. This video was a shake down practice, about 60sec laps, during heats guys were doing 56secs, incredible speed on the straights (faster than TAG or Shifter). Never got setup dialed in, lost 2 motors trying, just finishing can be hard.
Fantastic vid !! I wish I could read your digatron......
