this might just be me but i am not a fan idina, i feel like her singing is really weak. her performance on the royal variety is awful and i think that some of the other actresses who've played elphaba like stephanie j block, kerry ellis, rachel tucker and eden espinosa are all much better singers. sorry if i offend you, but it is kinda true :(

My favorite song from the musical! Idina, as always, is goddess! But, is it just me or this number is a bit awkward? I mean, it's incredibly powerful: high energy singing, the smoke, wind and all the effects... People applaud the performer (as expected), she puts her hands down and walks to her right. I think the after-No-Good-Deed-Powerhouse deserved a better stage solution. :(

She gives me the craziest chills. I don't understand how someone can say she isnt the best Elphaba, she IS Elphaba! She was made to play this part, noone else gives Elphaba such innocence, while still being passionate and haunting. I think that's what's missing from most of the other Elphabas. I think her characterization is excellent here! A pose to other elphaba's who go for the obvious going crazy madwoman running around the stage kinda thing, idina walks slowly and her arms and movements aren't nuts, they're minimal and quite small, it gives is a layer that is so haunting and witchy! And gives the sense of her going mad, and giving up so much better than the crazy insane way of doing it.

However, I just saw Jackie Burns perform with the first national tour and she completely blew me away!!! Her version of No Good Deed was one of the best I have ever heard.
