  • @Nerd1sTheway

    Sarcasm:

    [sahr-kaz-uhm]

    -noun

    1. harsh or bitter derision or irony

    2. sharply ironical taunt; sneering or cutting remark: a review full of sarcasms.

  • @bleachzeldakid okay...

  • That's one busy little camera-man.

  • Doesn't show the part where Google steal personal information through wifi.

  • this is epic

  • Show de bola o vídeo, muito bom, muito criativo. Se os caras fossem fazer assim, com uma câmera só e escaneando desse jeito eles estariam fritos. =)

  • Did... did I just subscribe to Google?

  • Erm. Next time, Google, PLEASE use content-aware fill. It solves the privacy problems 100%. And no more blurry mistakes!

  • 0:28 and later obviously

  • what the f...? is that an animation u made? i think yes

and if this is real... street view service can cost over $600,000,000,000 (six hundred billion dollars #LOL )

i just think that, i dont know nothing about its cost

0:28 fake. this technology uses satellites am i right?

  • @fede142857 satellites? LOL. Google earth and maps is made up of satellite images. Street view is made from people driving around in the google street view car, which has cameras on the roof. These are then somehow joined together and added to the website.

  • i don't think that guy is part of any union.

works all day and late into the night.

    probably low pay as well.

  • It is all clear now, Google is developing self driving cars so they can fire all the people now employed driving the Google camera cars.

  • The worst job on the planet.

  • Que trabalho deve dá fazer tudo isso á mão hheheheheee

  • lol i like this video

  • 1:45 Bye Bye Folks! Remember, IM WATCHING YOU!

  • that's sooooo cute!!!!

  • I don't know yet who came up with this idea, but THANK YOU SO MUCH... It means a lot to be able to go "visit" the places where I used to live (which were a lot by the way) in Mexico, City. I love you , whoever you are.

  • 161 phots LOL

  • SO CUTE! THANK YOU FOR THE TIME SPENT ON THIS, WHOEVER YOU ARE!

  • THIS IS SO ADORABLE I DONT EVEN

  • who made this? are there credits?

  • The giant paintbrush that comes down the road with the camera is scary man...

It tried to put me in a printer man.

  • ahh it's so cute it hurts my eyes xD

  • Now there's some Fake and gay , motherfucking retarded shit!

  • @33dgtp Everything on YouTube is fake. Nothing really moves; it's all just an illusion. When 30 still images are projected at your eyes every second, with the positions of the things in the images slightly moved from one image to the next, your brain tricks you into thinking they're moving.

  • @33dgtp YOU ARE RETARDED TO BE SO OFFENSIVE IN PUBLIC!!OBNOCIOUS

  • @33dgtp calm down.

  • this is cute!

  • COULDN'T YOU CREDIT THE GUYS WHO MADE THIS ANIMATION ???

You can work for a company but it's not the company who made this animation, they are real persons behind. So I want to know.

  • funny little animation

  • Appreciate the google staff's work, they're amazing!

btw, the video is cute~ =)

  • neat lil animation on how you guys try to protect privacy when looking at streetview with google maps,. =D

  • So thats the way google explains us how privacy and streetview works - i can't stop laughing!

btw.: The image where the License-Plate is rubbed out has not been scanned again - they give a shit about privacy...

  • 1:39 I thought he was gonna crash into the tree

  • I can't believe they have to blur all the number plates by hand. Good work Google.

  • @jono1971 they don't. It's only that their automatic software don't always find the plates or faces.

  • I think that was a joke =P

  • cute!!

  • gorgeous!!!

  • I LOVE GOOGLE!

  • I can see my house barely on it lol

  • I wish that little camera was in my street :D

  • So THAT'S how it's done!

  • how cute =3

  • It's so cute!!!

  • nice !!

  • super cute

  • funny

  • i want real not cartoon

  • Google Street View: Kindergarten version

  • lmaoo hahaha awsome,, that thing makes mistakes though because it blured out a tree near my house :P

  • Then your tree has a secret identity!

  • uhuh... your to busy with deleting names and stuff and still you have time to make a stopmotion? ROFL!

  • i <3 Google

  • shouldn't the scanner go again after fixing the problem?

  • Shouldn't they just take digital pictures???!

  • yes, they are!!!!

  • @taltigolt no, the machine just detects the anomalies, doesn0t scan them (it seems)

  • indeed! lmao xD!

  • With informational clips like this one must love Google Street View.

  • This video is so cute

  • lol .... :D is great!

  • haha, this is so cute.

  • amazing video!

that's why everyone loves Google! they are clean, slick and make beautiful animations for advertising their stuff! amazing amazing job on this animation!

  • thgat's cool :)

  • i feel its deceptive.

  • Cool!

  • hehehe mto bom =)

  • the person who actually have to do all this HAS to be a robot, with no emotion or need for food, cause this seems so time consuming and boring, and when does he get payed anyways?

  • so wait - google uses film and paintbrushes to produce streetview? how? the development costs alone for the photos must be astronomical?!

  • @tyhopho I to thought the scanner was bullcrap, until they showed that it was used to find personal data in the images, and we do know they "scan" their images for such, so don't have to mean a paper photo scanner but rather a scanner looking through all digital images. And the blur.. Well.. Also it's an animation and not a real story if you missed that ..

  • CORPORATE PROPAGANDA!

    seriously though, cute

  • Excellent !!!

  • Google Street view ROCKS!

I can't wait until the whole world gets on map lol.

  • very Nick Park - like

  • cute

  • First the scan is made of the picture with a licenseplate in the image, then after scanning it gets removed by the pen. A mistake perhaps? I guess the digital scan is used for the google maps server? So that will keep showing the licenseplate ;)

  • Well. I dont think it scans. It just checks the images. Since little dude then edits the image physically when someone mails him. ;)

  • Great video animation, please post how to make similar video...

  • Very creative, awesome marketing skills.

  • very good video... simple, to the point & short.. nice work Google!

  • lol awesome

  • Daaaaaw!

  • So sweet :D

  • Cool. :)

  • This video is aimed at a 6 year old. Unfortunately it isn't "behind the scenes", more like "scratching the surface". Disappointed :(

  • Google - simple, fast, reliable.

What more can you ask for??

  • An algorithm that removes license plates and faces is probably too much to ask, but something less secret would be nice.

  • for the animation video, i would say its a grate animation.

The idea of street view is grate.

If the people use this technology for helping and support its good, but it may have bad side too.

I think we have track of the viewer , who using the services.

This is what I think .

For Goolge its a grate achievement , like add another father in a crown :)

  • Great, not grate

  • that's cool ,,i love google

  • LOL

  • Yea it's cute.....but I'd rather have watched the REAL process. Especially how they erase people.

And why are the pics so dull looking. I've recently seen some of Hawaii and they were nice and sharp.

And it be said. I LOVE GOOGLE MAPS, the street view, the ability to find businesses close by, and to get the route (by driving/bus/walking) to another location!

  • i think the erasing goes automatically. sometimes u also see wheels of cars getting erased because the software thinks its a face.

  • Google are updating the low-quality photos to high quality. You can already see this on some roads and Europe.

  • crap

  • Pretty cool animation on something that would be dull to really watch. Love it. 5/5

  • wow

  • omg. this is socute. ;D !

  • sooo awesome!!

  • Collegehumor illustrated it so much better xD

  • lol AWESOME !!!

  • It's reassuring to know that we have a race of benevolent camera-headed robot overlords now to watch our every move and tell us what we may and may not do.

  • google map still havent got my address....so sad

  • this video is so cute

  • they need to somehoe put it in gta you could drive all over the world and act like a terrorist and bloe up your own home! (in the game)

  • OMG GOOGLE is creating a VIRTUAL EARTH to HOUSE the BRAIN JAR PEOPLE! GAH! We're doomed DOOMED I TELLS YA!

  • i like collagehumor's versionwayyy better (cuz well.....comedy)

  • That is just adorable <3. such a good idea!

  • amazing

  • way to be amazing google

  • This is just an animation. Of course they don't do it like this... Lol :P

  • I want that robot its so cool and it looks awesome

  • This looks like somewhat of a slow process. I would have thought Google would have used a more automated process than this.

  • Nice animation.

  • The guys working at Google are geniuses...

  • Huh, I didn't realize it was such an inefficient process.

  • Whats up with that? It's total misleading dis-information. You use a 360 degree camera, not a little forward frame camera guy! He should at least represent the 360 fish-eye lens.

  • Just stop talking. They don't use a '360 fish-eye lens.' They use multiple 'traditional' lenses and stitch the photos together.

  • Then why are the Street View bubbles all single frames when you view them flat?

Each bubble is it's own photo. There's nothing stitched about that.

  • "At the heart of Immersives services for Google and a number of other contractors is the Dodeca 2360, a softball-size camera that records from nearly a dozen different angles at 30 frames per second. Later, photos can be extracted and stitched together to form pictures with a resolution of 2400 by 1200 pixel—a frame bigger than any high-definition image"

  • very interesting video :)

  • Amazing! google is great!

  • Aww

Poor Camera Block guy he spends all day editing out those ungrateful people ;x
