Cars should be illegal. Oil should be illegal...Money should not exxist we need to go back to Primate life fuck it survve on your own fuck computers eat bugs n leave under logs..no joke i hate our fucking world all i love is weed and chicks...
Hmm, the Roman empire lasted 500 or so years. If 25% of all fossil fuel ever consumed was in the last 10 years, I know, where did you get these figures! The party could be over sooner than later,no?
Well, it is not only about a legal dispute, it is not only about our ecosystem, it is not only about the Amazon and the people living there, it is also about social responsibility, what are we teaching our kids?, what example do we want leave behind for future generations to come? Chevron generates trillions in revenue, all we are asking is to pay for those with cancer and to pay to restore (not 100%) the ecosystem. The small share that they have to pay is minimal compared to what happened!
This is a criminal act on the part of the G8 countries and their governments and the Leaders of Ecuador. I assume that if this is not stopped, then the oil corporations will get enough profit through their corruption and killing of entire eco-systems and people, that the agencies in the US and UK and other places can then use our lands to put out millions of solar panels or GE seed fuels, thus killing our lands and water, our eco-systems and our people. Stop this NOW for the sake of all of us!
In the past... i had used Chevron fuel more than others... MY BAD... I would like to know which company you may know to be playing the game with our environment, better?
In my area... we have Shell and Union... I won't "intentionally" use any BP companies. I'm trying to support the companies that try to respect our environment. I know it's a catch 22 as they're already dirty just being oil based :o|
@lexxintegra: This is an excellent question -- is there any way to get 'clean' fuel into my gas tank? Of course I'd prefer an alternative to driving a car but in the meantime, what options?
@lexxintegra You need to see the movie GasHole (website is gasholemovie) for more information. Turns out Chevron/Texaco, Exxon/Mobil, BP, Gulf & a couple others are simply offshoots of the old American Oil Company (after it was split up as a monopoly, the divisions took on different names & primary ownerships). I try to buy Hess gas when possible, & though I need to check again I think Marathon among those which are OK, too.
@Murphygrif -Thanks for your response! upon reading... i feel bummerd, as the two you mention as safer are names I've not seen in Seattle WA area. I'm not in the least surprised that they are all derived of a monopoly :o|
I'll look into the movie! Keep up the great activism =o) It's very appreciated :o)

Hey, Chevron! Have you ever heard that "pride goeth before a fall"? Take responsibility for your actions.

The Ecuadoran people deserve justice from the irresponsibily and malfeasance of Chevron. In the end, this is for the planet and all of us.
