@21jonesky - I love that mentality, the problem is their using the same set of lungs. When she goes to her doctor and gets an x-ray and the doctor says 'you have to quit smoking', I'm sure she'll say 'but I was just acting'. Don't get me wrong, I'd still bend her over a table.

Besides, there is a significant difference between smoking a few minutes a week for a role versus smoking every single day for years. In spite of what the fear-mongers would have you believe, a few minutes of barely-inhaled smoke doesn't do THAT much damage. I've smoked on stage; inhaling isn't required to make it look like you're smoking any more than being shot in a movie requires that you really die.
Even though Dana smokes she's still a beautiful, sexy woman...I loved to watch her back when China Beach way on TV....she reminds me of a nurse I had in Nam' in 69.
