If he is the offspring of a member of both a German breed of Rott and an American, unfortunately he isn't "pure". He's a beauty specimen though.
@TheSupergranny pure indeed. But. No offence...but he is WAY overweight. stop feeding him crap processed biscuits and dry food. I feed my rottie a natural diet of cooked veges and raw meat and bones and he is strong, healthy way more agile and active than your dog. He( zac)will die because he will be put down due to his back legs going. if heor you wont change his diet reduce it by 50 percent. for his own good.

@KLP2566 MAYBE, but if you read rottweilers for dummies, it will help you decide(whether you can get one or not) , tell you how to train it, how to pick a good breeder, how to care for it etc. but it really is a great book for anyone whos inexperienced with rotties, or any dog, but you should defiantly buy it, its worth it. but once trained right, a rottweiler is one of the best dogs you can have.
@KLP2566 No don NOT get a rottie a your first dog. If you have no experience, this should not be your first dog, Get a boxer or labrador. Rotties have to much power for an inexperienced dog owner.

Rotties are simply one of the best all-around creatures on earth...beautiful, smart, loyal, protective, playful, and immensely loving! I can't see myself ever owning any other kind of dog now that I've know what its like to have a rottweiler!
I am not sure of Zac's weight now..It has been awhile since we weighed him..I know he is big...lol. He gets plenty of exercise. We have a few acres of ground & we run some cattle...Zac always goes out with us on the property, when we feed out hay etc.
how old is zac these days ? What is his weight and what exercise does he get ? he looks in great shape. I have a 14 month old rottweiler I feed him his one meal divided into two. Morning and night one small meal each. Just to keep his metabolism going. He is a lean machine but super strong and ultra cute.

I miss my rottweiler.. I was a kid when i had him. He would bark alot to lots of people so i called him Rex. I still have his dog house ever since :'(
i had to put my rottweiler female down at 10 years old she had really bad hips she was on medication all the time and had to have surgery so we had the choice to make her have surgery that might now help her and make it worse or put her down. we made the descision to put her down from her suffering I saved her when she was a 5 month old puppy from my dads friend he was going to kill her with a 12 gave duble barrel shot gun if i ddin't take her. so i took her and she had a better life with
man these dogs are big buggers, i once saw a guy in the park walkin about six of em, no idea how the heck he could handle that many unless he was a dog trainer or sumthin. I defo want one now
He has to be the most beautiful Rottie I have seen on you tube. I have two myself, but yours takes the cake for perfect characteristics of Rotts. They are the most misunderstood breed; ever so gentle and intelligent. Their instincts are unsurpassed.

Hey how old is he? My Rott died only 30 hours ago, but he was 16 it was his time to go but hes been with me ALL my life. Sweetest dog ever, I couldnt have asked for a better dog than him. As of 30 hours ago all the Rottweilers I grew up with are dead, Yashi, Harvey, Whiskey, Vollie, and Rylond were my babies now they are in a better place. Im just glad Rylonds last memories were good ones, I have been in Germany for 2 weeks now caring for him and making sure he knew daddy loved him.
@HappyIsFleeting OMG I feel so sad for you. I have 3 dogs, Corgi, Lab/retriever, and a Great Pry/ I had to put by husky mix to sleep a while ago and didnt know how to it thru the pain. However, just knowing my baby knew some of the dogs I still have made the transistion easier. I havec a Corgi, Lab/retriever mix and a Great Pyr.My Pyr will be the next to leave me. I wish you the best,. and hope you can get another Rottie that will make u happy
@HappyIsFleeting Very sorry for your loss. I also had a Rottie and I agree with you they are the sweetest dog in the world. They have a bad rap because people do not know how to train Rotties. My Rottie develop cancer and had to put him down. I think I cried for a week. I still miss him after 5 years. I get the album of photos and enjoy the memories . . . . .
What is it with everybody putting chains or studded collars on these dogs? Jeeze, a regular woven collar would be just fine. It would also help alleviate uninformed people's perception of Rotts as "vicious."

Nice potrail of the Rottis, I like when there showed in a good light. I have 2 rescue and their sweetys. Rottis are smart dogs and learn quick - once trained properly they listen beautifully. But when I got them I never read the warning, they will attach them selves to your hips and stay their for the rest of their lives - I call them my 2 saddle bags. you know your loved when you have been loved by a Rotti
My dog died 2 weeks ago, he was with me for a full 15 years and 5 weeks. We found out he had a terminal stomach cancer and he was suffering, and we had to put him down. I said I'd never get another dog in my lifetime again.
However, seeing rottweilers again, I'm, starting to doubt my lifetime decision.
@bananenhangmat .. I feel very sad for you with the loss of your dearly loved dog. Having your faithful dog put down is a terrible decision to make. Yes, it' is too early still, but never say never...I am sure you will 'love' again...

Such a gorgeous head.....a little overweight though if you dont mind me commenting on that, I would be worried about cruciate injury as he is so heavy. He looks a lovely chap. @cudiforlife do you realize that size is nothing when it comes to dogs i bet your "huge" dog isnt as fast as the rottie meaning he would lose decpit his size ... y do you think dog fighter use pit bull because the has to be fast and strong but also have stamina

@cudiforlife Lol Do you really think thats an acheivement? Anyone could go out and buy a bigger breed dog and say what you just said. But the majority of people keep it to themselves instead of being childish. Btw rott looks very proud and healthy :)

Hey how old is he? My Rott died only 30 hours ago, but he was 16 it was his time to go but hes been with me ALL my life. Sweetest dog ever, I couldnt have asked for a better dog than him. As of 30 hours ago all the Rottweilers I grew up with are dead, Yashi, Harvey, Whiskey, Vollie, and Rylond were my babies now they are in a better place. Im just glad Rylonds last memories were good ones, I have been in Germany for 2 weeks now caring for him and making sure he knew daddy loved him.

@HappyIsFleeting OMG I feel so sad for you. I have 3 dogs, Corgi, Lab/retriever, and a Great Pry/ I had to put by husky mix to sleep a while ago and didnt know how to it thru the pain. However, just knowing my baby knew some of the dogs I still have made the transistion easier. I havec a Corgi, Lab/retriever mix and a Great Pyr.My Pyr will be the next to leave me. I wish you the best,. and hope you can get another Rottie that will make u happy

@HappyIsFleeting Very sorry for your loss. I also had a Rottie and I agree with you they are the sweetest dog in the world. They have a bad rap because people do not know how to train Rotties. My Rottie develop cancer and had to put him down. I think I cried for a week. I still miss him after 5 years. I get the album of photos and enjoy the memories . . . . .

this week I'm gonna receive the newest men~mber of our family Hoffman a beutiful Rottweiler with 2 months and I'm so glad to have this amazing dog.

What is it with everybody putting chains or studded collars on these dogs? Jeeze, a regular woven collar would be just fine. It would also help alleviate uninformed people's perception of Rotts as "vicious."

This guy is really stocky, very nice looking.
Had a rottie a few years back (girlfriends dog), for sure a one person dog...
always had this look of distrust for anyone besides girlfriend.
Very well-behaved, smart and a little cheeky at times.
Ate too much, so next time a boxer is in the cards!

WOW that dog is so beautiful! I miss my Rotti, his name was Rocky first Rottweiler I ever owned. It's been a long time, and I miss him when I watch this video! It is so true they become part of the family and they are so smart!!! I want another one so bad! I want to wait until I have my own house first so I can have some land for him to run around in!! Again beautiful dog!!

Nice potrail of the Rottis, I like when there showed in a good light. I have 2 rescue and their sweetys. Rottis are smart dogs and learn quick - once trained properly they listen beautifully. But when I got them I never read the warning, they will attach them selves to your hips and stay their for the rest of their lives - I call them my 2 saddle bags. you know your loved when you have been loved by a Rotti

My dog died 2 weeks ago, he was with me for a full 15 years and 5 weeks. We found out he had a terminal stomach cancer and he was suffering, and we had to put him down. I said I'd never get another dog in my lifetime again.
However, seeing rottweilers again, I'm, starting to doubt my lifetime decision.
Yet it's too early still.

I used to have a Rottweiler that'd curled up on my sofa and *purrred* when I gave him a big hug. If that's dangerous, then easter bunnies were dangerous.

Such a gorgeous head.....a little overweight though if you dont mind me commenting on that, I would be worried about cruciate injury as he is so heavy. He looks a lovely chap. I too love my Rotties, would never have another breed. Great dogs, great characters, great personalities.....and my god how loving they are....except to the bad strangers lol.
