@Lixin2008Du thanks, i think i have enough arm strength. whenever i do it i feel it in abs and back. i've been doing on my knees for a while now.. idk i guess i gotta keep workin..
Keep your back reall straight and use only your abs to come back up. The first time i did this my back hurt wicked bad like the lower part but it goes away
a BIG misconception when doing this exercise is keeping your back straight during the reps... your back starts to hurt when those mussels are taking over the exercise. To prevent this, make an effort to keep your back arched... this will focus all the stress on your abs... and when coming back, imagine doing an abdominal crunch versus pulling the wheel back to you. Hope this helps!!!
Seems like you'd already have to have some pretty good muscles to make this thing work like they show it, I dunno, I'm weak and flabby! maybe I have to start out with something easier...
First do them from your knees on a pad like the 2nd guy. Focus on good form and doing them perfectly. Then you will get stronger and eventually be able to do them perfectly from standing position. I like to keep my feet shoulder width apart. Spreading them wide like on the video makes them easier.
oh the ab wheel really works...I did 2 set of 10 for the first time and trust me the next day... I was sored like...so painful but it's a good pain. I didnt even do super extension, just beginner which is on your knees.
I find off knees too easy, but on toes too hard, I have been trying with my feet together, should I spread them apart like you do? that is easier? any pointers are greatly appreciated.
Dude, it works the shit out of your abs. I practice them standing though I can't go down all the way yet. I let my string bean roommate try it out standing and he let out a little cry and fell flat on his face. These are basically taking my abs to the next level.
My father is the King of the ab wheel. He is 62 years old and still does around 70 reps from the feet all at once, no breaks. By the way if you notice in thevideo the guy is doing a double wheel which is easier then the single wheel. Also he does it with his feet very wide not close together which is much harder. He does a great job considering not many people can do this from the feet. Keep up the good work guys.

excuse me i really need an answer first. what should i do so i can get the standing up ab roller? what reps and stuff?
Craigster45 7 months ago
Do the knee style first then increase arm strength by doing chin ups, then you can attempt un standing up style. Always do warm ups before rolling.

Don't buy some one exercising equipment (that I wouldn't really trust for my shoulders).
Look up scoobysworkshop and go to the gym.

Doesn't matter, Carpet is good for the beginners, in case you can not pull back, then won't hurt you.
Lixin2008Du 1 year ago
In order to do this right, does it matter whether you are on a flat surface? Or is carpet okay?

DO more warm up exercises for standing on toes, or just do more reps on knees.

when u start off do sets of 5-10reps and do as many sets as you can. by day 5 u cud be doin sets of like 20 reps lol
donNYPK08 3 years ago
do you do 100 times a day? where's your video; and we're not taling about resting on your knees...
tcbook 3 years ago
Is it true or are you just kidding?, or are you part of those products that sell useless shit?
warpfaber 3 years ago
100 times everyday is superfluous.
You first have to lose the fat to see your abs, and that requires a pretty kick ass diet.
This exercise is great for training abs and developing core strength, but can fuck your lower back up if done incorrectly.
