Unboxing Maptuner for Saab 9-5, BioPower stage 3

It's been in my car for about a week now. I haven't been driving that much yet, but so far it works great. I'm excited to try out a tank full of E85, but that'll have to wait until I've used up the gas that I have in the tank now. :)

@bonecrime cool, would love to see a video of it, however you got Aero which is B235R engine, mines a B235E I think, apparently engine internals can handle up to 315hp I think but Fredrick at Maptun says it is safe to tune this but still I have my doubts lol. over here we don't even have E85 in my state but I think if I am going to do a tune I might as well do a Biopower conversion since I'm spending that kind of $

@xReventonx Yeah, I should get someone to hold the camera for me. Don't wanna go crazy with the camera in one hand! What year is your car? You might want to upgrade the air intake pipe that goes from the air box to the grille. Saab has a newer and bigger version that's on the Aeros from -06 and up. I think it's also on the bigger diesels. It's available as a spare part. :)

@bonecrime yep, thats true, or get a camera mount for the seat on ebay....My 9-5 is 2007 so it already has the updated air intake pipe. I had a 1999 9-5 before but ended up getting rid of it so didn't waste my time upgrading. but my car is only a Linear. I recently stuck K&N high flow sport filter and made a difference with turbo response and power as well as better economy, but I think maybe another 50hp should do the trick for what I use it daily. Just Maptun prices are crazy for 100hp upgrade

@xReventonx Yeah tuning is expensive! Some companies have cheaper firmware. But I hear those aren't as good as the more expensive ones. As for hardware, I'd say the prices are roughly the same everywhere for similar items. I guess you have a GT17 turbo on your car, wich would mean you'd need a turbo upgrade if you want to do anything but mild tuning... Expensive!

@bonecrime yep, I got the standard LPT on my car, but I need to upgrade to TDHL04 which is Aero Turbo I think for anything decent. Just would hate to spend $ and then find that something has fucked up. would be so bad

I'm worried about the same thing you are, regarding pistons etc. Same upgrade I want for my 9-5. but not sure if it's too good for a 2.3t 185hp....I heard engine limit is around 300hp but you never know. please post a vid when you get it installed. thx
