Are you kidding me?Billy the Marlin gets all those votes and you don't put him in as an inductee.Your creditability is shot for next year.You want support?Nice idea for this but the mascots you have inducted this year and nominated were on the lame side compared to Billy the Marlin and Sebastian the Ibis.The community work they do plus Bernie of the Miami Heat and Stanley the Panther of the Florida Panthers will make any of the others look bad.They are all incredible at the games.You blew it!
This is horrible. I am from Cleveland and am embarressed by our awful mascot Slider. His dancing seems a bit too perverted for a baseball game. By no means should he be in the Mascot Hall of Fame. A worthy mascot should at least represent the team and their nickname in some way, such as Billy the Marlin.
i really think they were very good inductees but thats just me. i mean how does Billy not get in or the Phanatic? i mean.. billy is sucha kids character great with kids and the whole family... so is the Phanatic,,, i dont even know any of those guys who didi win this year...
Congrats to this year's inductees! You all are well deserving of the honor. I also want to send a heart felt congrats to the rest of the candidates. You all earned the right to be on the ballot and some came very close.
I also want to say thansk to all the fans who voted. It is a very important part of the process, and although it may seem some characters got a tough break your votes did matter. They are just a part of the process.
What a ripoff....how could a mascot get elected that received over 40,000 less votes ? Guess the online voting didn't mean anything...They put in who they wanted...Billy was screwed
Billy did a great job and was well supported by his fans. It was down to the wire and closer than any of the previous years. The online votes are used as a gage by the executive committee and voting membership when making their selections.
Billy is sure to be a front runner in next years campaign!
Congrats Slider!!! Well deserved. Though I have to admit that, as a staunch Indians and baseball traditionalist (love this years Indians alternate uniforms as a throw-back to 1954), I did not care for you when you were first introduced. But, like the purple fungus you are, you have grown on me, and I do at least smile when I see you. Congrats, again, for winning more than the team does on the field.
I believe it's because the members did not vote for him quite enough. Kind of like how the Motion Picture Academy of America members vote for the Oscars.

Sebastian is easily the most recognizable mascot in College football. All credibility is gone for these losers at MHOF.
